Happy Gateway to the Weekend Day!!! Rainy and miserable here in northeast PA - temps in the upper 30s and headed down throughout the day. Back to low 30s for the highs for the next four days. But, Spring is on the way!!

Good Morning folks. I am not missing that weather Mark. We had rain yesterday but looks to be a sunny day today. Have a good day all.

I had an interesting ride in today. I took my Subaru Outback into work - snow was coming down and sticking on the roads by that time. I81 South was slow moving with slush and snow in both lanes. As I was coming into Scranton on the Expressway a Subaru WRX blew by me - I'm guessing he was doing 65 in a 50 zone - going around a corner and came up on a slower car in the left lane. He hit his brakes and I watched as the ass end of the WRX started to slide. He overcorrected and put it into a spin right in front of me. By sheer luck he didn't hit the concrete median, did 2 full 360s and went off the side into a ditch. The front end ended up against the trunk of a fallen tree. He jumped out so I knew he wasn't hurt so I pulled over and called 911. Waited until they came - I know many of the police officers in the area because we run a Municipal Police Officers training Academy at my college. The car will have to be pulled out - probably took out the front bumper and not much else. I was just glad he didn't hit anyone else and no one was hurt. He'll also be cited for driving too fast for conditions.

I use it for the term loser in the definition
    :D
No italian word sounds like that, not even in juvenile slangs. ... The word jabroni is an insult that evolved from the pro wrestling term, jobber. Which just denotes that you are a loser. As a jobber is a wrestler that is paid to lose, or job (Job (professional wrestling)), to another. Also known as doing a job.

Good evening or good morning what ever it may be. I see several of you all live in Pa. My wife and I are flying to Pa. next week for a family wedding. I’m a California native and she was born and raised in Lancaster Pa. Be there for a week in the Lancaster area. I’m just wondering what kind of weather we can expect? She says rain, possible snow and temps inches 50’s. Since she is always right I assume she is correct.

    :hattip: Morning all.

I am from PA Ken, but I am currently away. A few other folks on here can probably give you a better idea of the weather. Beautiful country in that area, plenty of farms and :annoyed:shopping. Enjoy your week.

Good morning! I am up in the northeast part of PA - next week for us is supposed to be in the Mid 40s to Low 50s - about normal for this time of year. Anything south of the Poconos will be slightly warmer. Not a lot of rain/snow predicted at this point - next Thursday shows some flurries but general a lot of partly sunny days for us. Hopefully, you'll be the same or better in the Lancaster area.

Happy Friday to those of us who still slug our way up to the Pay Master. I received confirmation that I will be enrolled in Medicare as of April 1 - I'll start Social Security effective July 1 when I retire from the College.

We celebrated the first anniversary of the opening of our student-run restaurant at the College last evening. Packed house of people enjoying a fabulous meal. Here I am with a bunch of the folks I work with - awesome team.

Good mid morning crew, two rows filled within one wheel Barrow load in my wood shed, 12' rows. Possibly some snow Saturday night so gonna hit the wood splitter some more today and Saturday, first have to move some of the remaining wood in the shed from last summer to make room for new wood.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, investments/IRA has tanked some like everyone else, but only down a little from a year ago and I have drawn a year of income.
Tracking another old stove, a British military stove, was within 90 minutes of me a day ago, but tracking now shows it in Buffalo,NY, across the other side of the country.

This is not political. Just a PSA.
President Trump is coming to Scranton this coming Thursday. That means anyone travelling I81 between Wilkes Barre and Scranton will need to find another way home, work or wherever you're going.

Hi Harry, tnere wwere a lot of posts about traffic on i80, 81 and 84 on the Pennsylvania thread. I can only imagine the mess this will make of the traffic in that area especially rush hours:annoyed:.
