This is not political. Just a PSA.
President Trump is coming to Scranton this coming Thursday. That means anyone travelling I81 between Wilkes Barre and Scranton will need to find another way home, work or wherever you're going.

Hi Harry, tnere wwere a lot of posts about traffic on i80, 81 and 84 on the Pennsylvania thread. I can only imagine the mess this will make of the traffic in that area especially rush hours:annoyed:.

My college is right in the same block where the town hall is taking place - our theater was also considered as the location but they opted for the larger venue. It's going to be a traffic nightmare. We'll probably release people early.

Finished one more row in my woodshed, back is good enough for me to do this, not filling my wheel barrow to the heaping point so it is just a little easier on the back. Scheduled a massage for Tuesday may try for a Chiropractor visit for Wednesday and take it easy for a bit since I have one row of wood in the shed still to use for this Spring and can't fill it anymore and still access the old stuff. But, I need to rototill some of the garden to plant greens other early season stuff.

They were talking about us possibly getting ice / freezing rain and the one news anchor was a real *&^$h saying "if you are comfortable driving on ice, I don't want to drive next to you". Sorry sweetheart, as long as you drive for conditions, make no sudden moves, etc... it's really not that bad.... Twit was calling me an idiot

Good Morning :hattip:Susan. Sounds like he is a real twit. Most news anchors are nothing but talking heads anyway:censored:. Be safe out there:thumbsup: especially walking if it's icy. How have you been doing otherwise? The girls doing okay? Being away for the winter, I do miss the Grand dogs. We have a stray pup that must have been abused that comes around where we are stjaying so I feed him dog food everuy night and occasionally he gets a bit of leftover meat thrown in. He is allowing the missus and I to get closer but we still cant pet him. I just hope when we leave someone else will take care of him. Take care and be safe.

Good morning, Susan, and all!! Still cold up here in northeast PA but still seeing signs of spring.

Had the truck out for a longer highway drive yesterday that took me through the Pocono Mountains as snow squalls were going through. Truck performed really nicely - Lynn proclaimed it excellent to ride in meaning she can sleep comfortably....which she did. I also learned that the big, flat TSS monitor on the front of the truck is a slush magnet. I was running my cruise control for a while just to check it out when I suddenly felt the cruise shut down and got a warning to clean the sensor. I waited until I arrived at our destination and found it was covered in wet slush. Otherwise, I really am loving this new truck.

Enjoy your day, whatever you have planned!!

Another PSA, not trying to be alarmist but I think this COVID-19 thing is for real. It seems to spread in ways they have no idea about. I'm hearing that the virus can survive on surfaces for days and days for example, and that people can be carriers/spreaders and never even show any symptoms. And it seems to take a particular liking to older folks. Be careful out there people. Wash your hands!

We have a car with parking distance sensors in the bumpers. We were driving through similar conditions a year or so back when the parking sensors started going off, at 60+ MPH! Same thing -- they got covered in slush. Scared the whee out of me for a sec!

    Good morning Susan, gang,
A inch maybe of snow last night, surprised we got any, so did end February with that little bit of precip for the whole month.
Driving to town every five days maybe, so my tank of gas has lasted two months, don't know where it has all gone. :)

Anchor is a she, but she is a real twit. Reporters just talk to fill time... last year when we got some snow, they were out in several places, and only said a few words that were necessary. Never really got any ice, just a chance of some, but none. I'm good and Annie hanging in there and Zoie doing well. Really gonna miss that pup when she's gone. for you feeding the stray pup. Like you said, hope someone takes over when you leave. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

Oh, sure, tell me that the day I come down with a cold  Yeah, that thing is scary. Hope it dies out very soon!!!

    afternoon all

I'm losing confidence in, and patience for, the "News" broadcasts more and more. Whether cable, network, or local... is just me?

Indeed, I'm ready to go back to the mountain already, again. :)

    :hattip:Good Morning Folks.

The pups do become a big part of your life and when their time comes, it's like losing a family member:(. Watching the news is like watching a Saturday Night Live skit anymore. The talking heads must get paid by the number of words they say:lalala:.
    Have a good Monday Susan.

And another day closer to retirement Mark.:D
    Enjoy the day Mark.

Hi Rob. :hattip:. As much as I dislike the cold and snow, after viewing the pics in your posts, it is beautiful country and I WANT TO BE THERE:D. Maybe someday. I can understand why you want to go back even with tne work it takes to get there. Just enjoy all you can. Have a great week.

When I flew up to Alaska to Anchorage, us guys drove to a bush pilot's place at Nabesna that his folks had to access way back, back in the '50's. Can just imagine what it took and how reliable equipment was back then.

No it is not just you. I basically have turned off the so called news. All the news does is bash the other political party no matter which station you listen to.

I try to stay focused on my endeavors and projects nowadays. I hope everyone is doing well and feeling great or better than you were.
