Tony, you have an incredible talent and I enjoyed seeing photos of your projects. The pens caught my attention because of the firearms/ammo theme. I like all of them, especially the one with the eagle seal on it.

Happy Easter all! Cold, rainy here also. I'll be spending it inside, recuperating from Shingles. Day 4 or 5... I don't remember. Feel a little better after the meds the ER doc and daughter-in-law, nurse practitioner prescribed. I couldn't get in to see my doctor, he's only doing phone calls right now. Ended up going to the ER, I did get in there. I WILL be getting the vaccine, soon as I can. This thing can really kick your ass! I'm sure being OLD doesn't help, haha. At least I don't have covid19 at the same time.. YEOWW!

06Tacooo ........ Condolences on your being assaulted by the Shingles.....they damn near caused my dad to commit suicide - his went from ear to ear, over the top of his head - said it was the most excruciating pain he'd ever experienced! A quick note to everyone: We ALL have the Shingles virus in our systems......

The '69 Super Bee never made it to my house. I chose the name as a reminder to do things a little different as life goes on.

About 35 years ago I saw a red Super Bee parked in a field with a for sale sign in the window. I turned around and drove down the dirt road to old farmhouse to talk to the owner. As luck would have it, the owner wasn't there but his 80 something wife was. She said he was hoping to get $2000 for it but everyone that stopped turned away when they found out it had a funny motor in it. My first thought was that it was a hemi but why would everyone walk away from a hemi? It was then that it hit me, they walked away from it because it was a 225 Slant Six. So I told her I'd return when her husband was home and talk with him.

As I was driving back into town I decided I'd go get the money, buy the slant six Super Bee and have THE area MOPAR specialist help me get a 383 or 440 in it. Since she said he would be back around noon I headed back out there around at 1300. When I got there the field was empty, there was what looked like dually tire tracks in the field. When I talked to the owner he stated a truck pulled in right after he got home and offered him $4000 for the car. I had to ask why so much for a Slant Six and the owner looked at me funny and asked what I meant. Told him what his wife said and he laughed. Seems one of his kids or grandkids had told her it had a "Funny Car" engine in it.

So Hemibee is my slap in the face for not looking at the car better when I was there, not waiting on the owner to arrive, and being so stupid to cause me to miss out on my dream car, a red, Hemi powered 4-speed 1969 Dodge Super Bee!!!

I forgot photos of one of my favorite pens I've turned lately. My son has this pen since he's my suspension specialist, graduated from Baylor University, and used to race Hare Scrambles back in his high school and early college years.

Yes, if you've ever had chicken pox, you have the virus, and it could surface at any time. My rash came out on the right side of my head, face, (closing my eye) and down inside the right side of my throat. YEOWW!
There is a shingles vaccine, fairly new on the market, and in short supply right now. I encourage everyone to get it if possible. I'll be getting it as soon as the rash is gone, that's for sure! This is the worst thing I have ever had in my 74+ years! I've broken ribs, bones, brain surgery, eye surgery, plane crash, and more... this is the absolute worst. Pain killers won't work because it's a nerve inflamation. There is Gabapentin for nerve pain, did not even phase it, at least for me.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
It is bad, and can be lessened if you detect it early. I say this from firsthand experience. My daughter figured out what I had early on and I immediately went to Dr.'s office and got a shot of some kind -- it slowed it down and led to a faster recovery time -still took 3-4 weeks for it to go away. YOU CAN get it a second time.
I got my newer shot thru my local VA facility -they had to schedule me a time to get it , so they have a high demand as well.
Key thing to watch out for is the way shingles (most of the time) will only appear on one side of your body -think if your spinal cord as a dividing line. It resides (hides) in the spinal cord on usually one side rt or left.
If you have a hot burning rash that seems to come from UNDER your skin -AGAIN on one side (arm, leg, or god forbid your face) call or get to your Dr. ASAP . Mine started as this hot burning rash on my left forearm only. felt like someone had lit a campfire under my skin.
Gotta feel real bad for anyone getting this shit with all of this covid stuff going on at the same time.

Do get the vaccine, the newer one SHINGRIX. It's better than the older ZOSTOVAX (sp?). I did a couple of years ago.

    Afternoon all:

    To Hemibee!
    :facepalm::frusty: :annoyed: :pout: Interesting story!

A buddy of mine had a similar incident, he knew where a 409 car was and was after it for quite awhile.
Here' s what happened: A foreman at work told me that he had just purchased a 409 from the area that my buddy was from, when I ran into my buddy I mentioned it, and who he had bought it from, he got visibly upset and kept shaking his head and saying no, no, no----WTH!
Turns out the owner owed the guy some money, (drinking problem), and since he didn't have the money to pay him back he turned the title to the car over to him and he then sold it to get his money back, slipped right out from under my buddies nose!!!!! :(

    WOW!
Just went over 100 cases of corona in Carbon county, looking at all the counties surrounding us we are fortunate so far. To those in the counties just North of Philadelphia and a few other NE counties, be very vigil and try to stay safe, that also goes for anyone else no matter where you live.
I'm wondering what will happen when they start lifting the shutdown, we sure as heck can't keep this up indefinitely!

Up to four cases where I live in Cali.
Saw a video of a simple bandana, rubber band mask, made one. Had to watch three times. :). Fits great, but snug enough that it will get warm quickly from your breath.

Good morning, all!! Welcome to the new folks!! Lynn and I need to get the new shingles vaccine..had planned on doing it this month....but guess we're waiting a bit longer.

My brother-in-law runs an ER in Stroudsburg, PA. It was one of the hardest hit early on but the number of cases there have begun to decline. He finally had a day off yesterday - first since back in February as they began to prep for the onslaught. Hopefully, we've begun to turn the corner in the rest of PA...but people still need to stay home.

    Welcome to the new folks!!

    Be safe out there!!!!
