Good morning Susan, new and old +60ers,
Chilly again here in Kalifornia, back to freezing the last couple mornings, off after coffee to cut more firewood, cut some cedar yesterday to sell to a older neighbor, on the way up yesterday, stopped to see what a blow down was and it was a nice sized Doug fir. Whoop, whoop! Second best wood in the area to cut after oak.

No Duane, a drug store tech did the deed for me. Never have given myself an injection and don't plan to as long as people trained to do it will poke me.

Sorry to hear about the nosebleed. Leaning back in a chair/recliner while pinching the bridge of your nose help some people stop the bleeding. When my middle son was small he had frequent nose bleeds and learned to do this.

Nothing worked on my nose bleed but tp poked up a nostril, then it quickly soaked thru, you would have thought it was like water, literally ran out of my nose, not drips. Scary. Blood would run out my mouth if my nostrils were pinched, but the tp seemed to cover the spot, never seen anything like it. A doctor mentioned something years ago about doing something, guess my nose innards aren't like everyone elses. Off to cut firewood after my coffee and oats.

Welcome! You might as well divulge your name. We are a very informal group here and refer to each other by first name on the porch.

Now if you have a special title like PHD. ( post hole digger ? ) we might make an exception, but I doubt it.

    Morning all:

Now that's a different way of looking at it!
    Welcome Shimon!

Just saw where they are opening up the WWE saying it's a necessity! o_O

:annoyed: so what's new, with all the heavy rain we had the streams and the river are way too high and muddy to fish. At least the river isn't at flood stage like some other years, would like to get up there but don't know if the boat launches are even open.

    Good morning all!
Trying my best to cope with the Covid shit, but the weather isn't cooperating. Rain has been keeping me from my walks around the neighborhood for the last three days. Not really heavy rain on Sat & Sun, but yesterday rained all day to the tune of almost 5"! A few miles over the mountain it was sunny all day, go figure.

Eagerly awaiting the re-opening of the golf courses. I haven't played for over a month. Just noticed that my permanent tan is fading.

Welcome to the new folks on this thread!

Had a scheduled visit with my dermatologist this morning. She asked if I've been taking the proper precautions due to the VIRUS. I said YES, I've been washing my hands and face with LAVA soap. She said washing your face with LAVA is not a good idea. I said "OK, I'll start using Barkeepers Friend and a brillo pad". That's when she walked out of the room shaking her head and waving her arms in the air. Did I say something wrong??

Got two loads of firewood after lunch today and that was after over an hour in the ER to see about a second nose bleed this AM while I was about done with breakfast. Waste of my time at the hospital.
So pissed after trying to make an appointment in person at the clinic then, need to call the Scheduler, then went to the bank, drive up only! GD $@#%! Hardware store didn't have right size Tiki torch wick for that old Coleman lamp I got going last week. #@$%!!
Repo and I had a good time cutting wood, he stuck around real well, in the way while I marked the tree. Kissy, kissy.

80 degrees here in Elk Grove California. Sitting on the back patio grilling ribs , listening to old time rock n roll and having a wee dram of Buffalo Trace Whiskey. Just slow danced with my wife to a 60’s classic Angel Baby by Rosie and the Originals. Life is sweet.

I came of age in the 60’s. Grew up on rock and roll. Smoke gets in your eyes, is one of my favorites. Remember that song as a young teen. That will be tomorrow nights song. I have over a thousand 60’s songs on my iPod and that is one of them. Peace, love and rock n roll.

I got the Shingrix vaccine about 6 months ago (before the COVID-19 crisis). My Doc wrote the prescription but it was fulfilled by CVS pharmacy tech in the pharmacy. Co-pay was $20.

Good to hear, we were able to get our first (there are two) at our doctor during my July checkup. Our drug plan paid for them, in a round about way.. we paid up front at the doctor, and our drug plan reimbursed us by applying that amount to our plan deductible. Convoluted to say the least, but it was seamless, and we each got a confirmation letter in the mail.
