Have you old married guys noticed an increase in the credit card bills? My wife who often shops on line has greatly increased the practice since the stay at home corona virus thing. Every day she tells me how much money she has saved with her purchases and I just smile and nod my head. All I see is how much we have spent. I believe this is some new female wifely math that is beyond most husbands comprehension and way beyond mine. Trying to explain it to me just befuddles my tiny brain. I hope the corona stay at home ends soon because we are going broke saving so much money.
    Happy Sunday all!

A comment about the wifely math. About 30 years ago there was much talk (in my former profession) about "fuzzy logic." It related to computers in household appliances. Considering that in my earlier days the female of the household was the operator of those appliances, I thought the term was particularly appropriate.

    Afternoon all:

 I think that's the same as gamblers math, they only count what they win and not what they spend to win it!
I'm waiting for all the good sales, EVERYONE wants a piece of those stimulus checks and I'm sure there will be plenty of "bargains" offered to get it!
My buddy just bought a used Bobcat mini excavator, ended up getting it for a lot less than the guy was originally asking, and for even less than he had offered for it about a month and a half ago.

Yes, since I've been home more than usual, I have noticed a daily flow of Amazon boxes at the door. WTF!

Not to worry, the more boxes the more money you are saving just ask your spouse.

I know this one. The more you spend, the more you save! Easy.

Truth be told most of the boxes arriving here have my name on them and are filled with car parts. :anonymous:

Speaking of ordering online, I have been cross shopping A LOT to find the vendor offering reasonable delivery dates. Amazon is losing out big time. My money has been spent elsewhere. For example if I need a tool I go to Home Depot. Good prices, free shipping, shows up in a couple of days vs. Amazon telling me it will arrive the third week of May. Shop around!

Worse is the QVC "easy pay" - but honey we can pay it in 6 easy monthly payments with no interest. Yep but 25 purchases means the monthly is huge. Thankfully the limit on her card keeps her in check.. Same with Amazon and wayfair and bed, bath and beyond me, low limits and they always try to raise it for me but I refuse.

Morning all. Today is a go to work day. :poop:

Spent a hunk of yesterday busting up a portion of our concrete driveway. Good thing it was a small portion. I may never walk the same again.

Morning all! Have a safe day and be well. How was the commute Mark?

My MIL was a spender and fortunately my in-laws had the money. Before the internet, she would shop everyday and would only buy on sale items because she saved money that way. Well, fast forward to after they both pass away and we had to clean out the house :annoyed:. It took close to a year working 3 to 4 hours a night after work (wife didn't want to work there on the weekends) and finally after four 30 yard and eighteen 20 yard dumpsters we finally got all the saved money items cleaned out....No exaggeration. She had clothes in the closet with the original price tags from stores that had closed many years earlier...and never wore them. With my MIL it was an illness because she couldn't get rid of anything.

    Good morning Susan, gang,
Years ago, a couple I sold a little firewood to, had me in their house briefly, living room had a small path thru it, it had so much stuff in it. Another lady who hit all the yard sales.

I guess it's as simple as supply and demand, but they have been talking about negative interest rates for awhile, now it's negative oil prices as oil prices collapse,
beginning to wonder where this is all headed for. Does this mean they will pay me to fill up my oil tank!

Mark, you have a long way to go to catch up to my 99 Chevy truck, one year I put 68 mi. on it, looks like I could get a few years out of a tank at that rate! :p
The bad part about that, I use it to tow the boat, which means I didn't do too much fishing that year! :pout:
BTW: I use Star Tron fuel stabilizer in that truck and never had a problem, also start using it here and there just to use up the gas and put fresh gas and stabilizer in it.
I'm trying not to wear it out though, I put a little over 20,000 mi. on it in 20 years! o_O

Guessing they are losing money on loans and same on oil. Costs exceeding profit.

It's the oil 'futures' that went negative, for example crude oil due to be pumped in June is worth -$40 a barrel or whatever it is. The problem is that they have no place to store it! All of the storage tanks are full, they have barges sitting off the coast that are full, etc. Crazy times.
