That’s PG&E stock. Sadly that stock is in the tank and I don’t see it recovering in the next decade. They’ve paid out billions in law suits and settlements and there are more pending. The California governor has talked about taking over PG&E. Think we’ll stick with PP&L

I’ve been eyeing the oil patch but it seems like a crapshoot. Keeping my powder dry. Although I might buy another car! Dealers are desperate these days.

    Morning all:

"If" I were a little younger I may have dabbled in some RDS.A and BP, maybe some XOM, (I have had BP and XOM before). BUT: that "if" part is what stopped me from pulling the trigger, there may not be enough time left to see any good returns out of them, and I don't know if the dividend is sustainable if oil pricing stays near these lows.

It certainly is a wild time that is compounded by the decreasing number of high school graduates - the perfect storm. I'm headed off to get my new military ID card that will qualify me and Lynn for Tricare For Life...which is really just pretty much a prescription coverage since even military retirees must apply for Medicare and pay for Medicare Part B. Happy to do my part as I enter the "high risk" category.

    Be safe, everyone!!!

Morning folks of the best generation .

Happy Birthday Mark (@Devious6). Enjoy your "Entering the High Risk" day. Any special plans? Hope you have a great one.

I have a dilemma, Last time the weather was supposed to have high winds, I tied down all of the deck furniture and barbecue to keep them from blowing all over and nothing:annoyed:. Now should I tie them all down again or should I just ignore the weather reports? I know it's going to rain because my joints are telling me so but wind?? the joints don't predict.

Heat wave down here in the southwest - over 100 the last two days. Electric meter going crazy! Very early for this sort of hot - 15 over the normal. Wild fire guys are not happy at all, it is very dry.

I've been thinking about putting a heat shield on my trucks battery, this is provoking more thoughts about it. Now on battery #3 in 6 years and 55K miles. Both my old F150 and the RAM 1500 had factory shields / insulation.

Battery life span here in southeast Texas is 2 years on average per a battery life span chart my son sent me a couple years ago, the heat kills them. With that said, I'm flirting with disaster. My Taco battery is at least 3 years old, my Tiger battery is 7 years old and just died. My youngest son's car which I'm maintaining until he graduates from UT in 1 month is 4 years old. My wife's battery lasted exactly 2 years and the replacement is now 2 years old. Either I'm doing good in battery life or it's fixing to get uglier around here.

Now the question is can just make myself go down to Triumph to buy a battery for the Tiger or do I trust buying one on line?

Guess I'm lucky. The battery in my Tacoma lasted about 10 years in the Arizona heat. I replaced it only because I expected problems.

 S/W/Susan. I played hooky yesterday. Even worse, we drove 2 hours to look at a car.

    I am bad.

    But.

It was a beautiful day, a beautiful drive, and a beautiful car.
