I was going to say sounds the same as here and then I looked at your location. No wonder it sounds the same as here.

That is what we did. One deposit transaction into the bank and no fees for that move. I agree to piecemeal out the debit card could be a bad move if one is unaware that some transactions require fees.

The weather was great. Pre-COVID-19 the wedding was supposed to be today and 150 people. Thunder and lightning not letting up yet today so there is that..............

    Evening all:
Amazing how beautiful a simple wedding can be!
Read many times where the wedding costs a small fortune, and then ends in divorce in only a couple years. A guy I know shelled out quite a bit for his daughters wedding which didn't last too long, then she wanted him to shell out for her second big wedding! He didn't want to do it the second time and both the daughter and his wife got hissy over it! :angrygirl:
Wishing the best of luck to both of them!

No flooding that I know of. Rivers are supposed to be high, but haven't heard of flooding. Enjoy the vacation.

I got notified that I was getting a "rebate" and they just posted it to my account for the re-newal.

    Shame, shame 14 people!!! teehee!

Older son at his wedding last year, paid less than $10,000 - they didn't want the debt or the fancy smancy stuff. Was a real nice wedding and the setting was at Skyline Country club in Tuscon (no they don't belong - just had the wedding there) Beautiful setting, kind of like this one.

Beautiful and congrats to the happy couple and you.

Morning folks :hattip:. Had the day off from dog sitting yesterday and today :yay:. My son and DIL took him to give us a break. He is doing much better but still can't do a lot of weight bearing on the ankle so we try to keep him as calm as we can.
Beautiful pictures Paul. I wish them the BEST and congratulations. When my daughter got married I was caught in the middle between my wife and daughter. My daughter and wife both waned the big wedding. I told them I would buy the ladder because it would be cheaper. I was over ruled:argue:. It was nice and I was glad when it was finally over.

Hope you all have a great day and be safe.

Ken, I don't get the need to spend tens of thousands on an event that lasts a couple of hours...... now if you are bill gates, go for it. But for the rest of us, .......

    Morning boys

    How are you doing Susan?
I totally agree with not spending the money on a big wedding, but I had to abide by the old adage "Happy wife, Happy life". I was over ruled many times. We eloped and got married by a J.P. and it was an easy day for us and an inexpensive wedding as I was in the service. Fortunately my daughters wedding was 19 years ago and they are still together and gave us 3 Grand kids:thumbsup:. All is good. Have a good day and stay safe.

My mom sadly was unable to attend, but she wrote the nicest email about how simple is better and how lovely it all appeared. And how proud she is of the "kids". :D (me!)

I have a niece who had a pretty fancy wedding. The second one was much simpler. ;)

Morning folks :hattip:. Beautiful day on tap for today. I need some inspiration to get out and power wash the deck:confused:. It needs cleaning, but my bodies transmission is stuck in neutral :annoyed:. My to-do list isn't that long, but I need to get going on it or the list will get longer. In the meantime, have a great day all and be safe.

Have another cup of coffee then take a short walk to get you outside and in the fresh air - that will get you going. If usually works for me.
