I don't understand the violent "I won't wear a mask" attitude. I don't like being told what to do, either. Seems to me it is just common courtesy to try to protect others if one happens to be unknowingly infected.

Sometimes when I am at work the mask narks are a bit much..turning people in........wow. But stores and such.........I don't know you bro. Mask up.

Funny though after all the riot BS here, people seem just less mask wearing.

Our Governor has made it the establishments prerogative to add no mask no service as a state supported service requirement - it is still up to the client to choose to either comply or go elsewhere. Like you said the employees are required for self and client safety so why not make it mandatory. I personally am a member of the High Risk Club, I wear a mask all the time going into establishments - heck Costco here will NOT let you in without a mask no matter how much of an A-hole some is.

Yes, I am worried that we will see a big spike in Covid cases with so many of the protesters out in the streets not masked.

There is no guarantee wearing a mask will keep one from contracting the Covid but it sure helps your odds of not getting it. We haven't seen the last of this bug, it is now a matter of your own comfort level and NO ONE should be hassled for wearing or not wearing one - where has our common courtesy gone? Sure it is one's right to not wear one under certain conditions (where not required to enter) but who gave them the right to chastise those of us that choose to wear one? Just sayin

Hoping we don't attract the political police here.

The masks us civvies wear do not protect us from coronavirus. What they do is protect EVERYBODY ELSE from the possibility of contracting coronavirus FROM US. If you think about that for a little while it should become obvious that either everyone wears them, or nobody does. The guy in the bread store today was surrounded by people wearing masks. His risk was minimal. Everybody else in the store was being put at risk by him.

To me it's not about rights or personal freedoms or any of that. It's about how soon I can once again hug my mom, my dad, my son, and my grandchildren. Until I'm convinced otherwise, wearing masks when in close public contact with other human beings will accelerate that timeframe.

Sorry if I'm trampling on any toes. I respect this place, and everyone in it, more than I can say in words.

No Problem Dave, everyone has opinions and I for one respect their right to theirs. Sometimes we all disagree on things, but many times I have bit my tongue. We all have the freedom our Armed Forces fought for so we could voice our opinions (except on TW with the COC). Sometimes tolerance is best suited for subjects. Hey after all, now I know how surgeons feel having to wear those damn masks all the time. Folks have a great night.

I happen to use the N95 mask, I had a box of them in my home wood shop that was given to me from a doctor friend years ago so I use them. Not that they are that much better than others but I tell myself it is best to avoid the idiots that don't wear them (for what ever reason they feel) and keep to myself when possible. I try to be as PC as I can, I finally found that if I let myself get wound up over this what does it solve - nothing but heartburn for me.

Good morning, all! Lynn and I wear masks when we go out - understanding that ours protect others, not us. We try to limit where we go - both turned 65 this year and are in good health, but we care for Lynn's 93 year old mother and don't want to bring anything back to her. There are enough stresses in life to worry about the constitutionality of mask wear - I do it out of respect for others.

Speaking of less stress, my last board of trustees meeting is on the 25th - really at this point I am just providing guidance for my replacement since decisions made now will impact her - so retirement approaches rapidly. I am taking Fridays off through the month to burn up some vacation days and my last few work days after the board meeting will be vacation. I spent yesterday power washing the pool concrete and furniture...think I'm going to enjoy this retirement thingy.

    Enjoy your day be safe!!

Afternoon folks. I just copied this from the Cabelas site for the Hamburg PA store. Makes it nice for us old timers.

ALERT ALERT We’re introducing the Senior/High Risk Shopping Hour. Our store is now open one hour earlier on weekdays from 9:00 am to 10:00 am for our Senior and High Risk customers to access essential products before the general public. We are committed to the health and safety of all customers and team members, and are taking precautions so we can continue serving our community in a safe and responsible manner.

    Evening all:
Looks like our county will be going into the green phase on the 12th, not much difference for the regular people but a big plus for a lot of the business owners.
My dentist finally opened up and I was there on Thurs., about the only other thing I couldn't do through this whole thing was get a much needed haircut.
I have hair clippers, I would have no problem laying them against the scalp and going to town if needed! :)

Amen my brotha! I’m at the point where it’s a ponytail or a buzz cut. Either way it can’t happen too soon.

I'll be cutting my own from now on. Too easy...and I don't really care if it doesn't look perfect at this point.

Yesterday was gorgeous here - spent 3 hours trimming/training the Wisteria at the front of the house and the rest of the day at the pool. Today is grass cutting day and we need to spend some time in the apiary with the bees, too.

    Enjoy and stay safe!!

Well here's a pisser for all...Thursday morning, 4:30 I went downtown for a coffee, which I do every day.
As get back home, back down the driveway into the garage...ok all's good so far.
Coffee in hand, open the truck door and I totally missed the running board!!!
Right down to my knees, both of them...coffee went flying...my god that hurt!
Yesterday I was in pain. Both knees.
    I can't explain how that happened, I really can't.
Needless to say I'll make dam sure that at least one foot is planted on the boards.
