Amen my brotha! I’m at the point where it’s a ponytail or a buzz cut. Either way it can’t happen too soon.

I'll be cutting my own from now on. Too easy...and I don't really care if it doesn't look perfect at this point.

Yesterday was gorgeous here - spent 3 hours trimming/training the Wisteria at the front of the house and the rest of the day at the pool. Today is grass cutting day and we need to spend some time in the apiary with the bees, too.

    Enjoy and stay safe!!

Well here's a pisser for all...Thursday morning, 4:30 I went downtown for a coffee, which I do every day.
As get back home, back down the driveway into the garage...ok all's good so far.
Coffee in hand, open the truck door and I totally missed the running board!!!
Right down to my knees, both of them...coffee went flying...my god that hurt!
Yesterday I was in pain. Both knees.
    I can't explain how that happened, I really can't.
Needless to say I'll make dam sure that at least one foot is planted on the boards.

Hope you heal up without issue, Harry.

Many years ago we saw an older gentleman park his truck, quickly go around to the other side, whip a 2X4 and plywood platform out of the bed, set it down for his wife, and help her out. We both looked at each other and smiled. We have since observed a few others doing the same thing, and now in our waning years, have ourselves continued the tradition.
Refreshing to see some servility in these trying times. :)

A friend of mine built a lifted truck.
His mother was like 2 feet nothing tall.
    She was a great lady.
She needed the truck one day and I asked him how she got in.
She had a plastic step stool with a rope attached to it.
Climbed in and then hauled the step into the truck.
Lowered the step and climbed out.
    Didn’t bother her one bit.

I was going to say something funny but can’t think of anything funny about this.
That shit hurts and can be a lifelong injury....
    Hope recovery is complete....

    Thanks all!
It was just a miss step....at least that's what I think...I'll just be more careful.
Nothing like that never happened before. My balance is good per my doctor. Just saw him a couple months ago...I will certainly mention this episode when I see him again.

Glad you're OK Harry. Things happen fast, we've all been there done that, just seems to hurt a lot longer as we age!

Ouch! Tough to read about that first thing in the morning. Here's hoping the biggest pain you suffer is your pride Harry, and that everything else heals up. I've missed steps, usually when doing something dumb like walking around in the dark and trusting my memory instead of my eyes.

    Morning folks:hattip:.

Glad to hear it was nothing serious Harry. Take care and rest up today. I find that I need to think more about what I'm going to do before I do it so I don't do something dumb.
Hope you recover and have no problems Harry.
Have a great Day all. Enjoy.

Good morning all, rained all day yesterday, thunder-boomers rolled in and out all day. Clear skies this morning - going to do yesterdays outdoor work today..

Glad you are OK Harry, these kind of slip-ups happen to all of us over the years it is just now that we notice them more and that they HURT more. My left hip is still hurting at night from a bad slip on the ice back in February when my Golden decided to bolt towards a rabbit and tripped me with his leash. We just don't bounce and recover like we used to.

Enjoy the day - be kind and safe out there

Glad to hear your fall wasn’t too serious. Falls are the number one cause of morbidity and disability in us mature people (aka old farts). Take it slow and be careful.
In other news my wife got her house cleaner to come clean our house on Friday, first time in 4 months, she’s doing double back flips of joy. And even better we both got hair cuts. 3+ months without a hair cut I was looking like a 1967 summer of love hippy but with less hair on top. All I needed was a tie dye shirt. (And I was a participant in 1967 summer of love in San Francisco). Next we are going out for lunch at our favorite little cafe. We are living life in the fast lane.
Happy Sunday or what ever day you think it is. Be safe.

Good morning, everyone! Yesterday was grass cutting day and cleaning out the mower garage - my father in law was a notorious hoarder of tools and associated nuts, bolts, screws, tool sets, drills......... He's been gone 5 years and we are still clearing stuff out.

Work from home day, today. Down to about 3 weeks to retirement now. Be safe!!

Good Morning Folks :hattip:. Looks to be a nice week up to Thursday when they are calling for more rain. Need to get some projects done around the homestead so maybe this will be a good week. Hope your knees are doing okay Harry and not keeping you down. Take care folks and have a good day.

Good morning all, got some work done yesterday outside but the winds were so strong it was hard to accomplish much. Cooler today and snow in the forecast for tomorrow evening, not a lot and it will not last past noon on the ground.

Have a great day, going to mow and weed wack the dog pen this morning, then apply more diatomaceous earth to keep the little critters away. We do not have a flee problem (they done make small enough oxygen tanks - lol) but it does keep out other creepy crawlers and tics.

Well after my "mask" rant apparently they are now optional in Pennysltuckyvania. I saw at least a half dozen people at the food store yesterday without masks, all being served without complaint by smiling (we must assume they were smiling because they were wearing masks) employees of the food store. I'm not sure what to make of it.

On a happier note I am pulling the trigger on the next phase of the garage build -- a lift! I decided on a 4-post. If I had a bit more room left-to-right I may have gone with a 2-post, but at the end of the day I think it would have been much more than I really will ever need or use. So a 4-post it is.
