Started raining here again about 45 minutes ago and it is pretty heavy. Supposed to hang around until about 9PM.

97 degrees with no humidity here in sunny Elk Grove, California. Just got out of the pool and am about to enjoy a gin and tonic with lots of ice and a wedge of lime. Tomorrow will be 100. Plan to repeat what I did today. Life is good when you are an old retired guy. My toughest decision today is what to grill for dinner. I’ll ponder that while sipping my gin and tonic.
Happy Saturday for those who are retired and for those who aren’t happy Friday.

What about me -- reduced schedule, 4 day week? :)

Rain has eased but not stopped. Typical tropical storm.

Good morning, all! Nice soaking rain yesterday afternoon with another lighter band through the early morning. We really needed it!! Not much planned for today - our son and his family head home tomorrow after a two week visit and my sister and her husband arrive today for a week's stay.

I fed the bees yesterday - the heat and fewer flowering plants at this point in the summer causes them to go through syrup like crazy.

    Stay safe out there!!

    Good Morning folks .
Spending time with family is the best Mark. Enjoy the visit.
Rain gave the garden and lawn a good long drink of water, but now the weeds have also sprouted. But hey what the heck, life is good when your retired:thumbsup:. Have a good, safe day all.

Good morning all, another beautiful morning with high temps on the way - hot & dry here. Several fires in the area. So far not within our area of concerns but others are getting evacuated or on pre-evat stage. One fire was caused by lightning but two others are suspect to their origins.

    Have a great Saturday everyone.

No need to wait, just don't sit on the op or @Tacoma Mike 's chairs and your turn to fill the cooler

    Morning Susan :hattip:.

4 months, close enough to grab a seat on the porch. The only restriction we have is......none :D.

Even lurkers are welcome Martin. Plenty of room for some new folks.

Well today in sunny Elk Grove California it’s 103 degrees. I’m good with the 90’s, but when it gets to triple digits it miserable, even though it’s a “dry” heat. It’s ok when you are in the pool but when you get out it’s just damn hot. Suppose to be 103 or 104 again tomorrow. Guess we’ll hang out in the A/C and watch movies. At least I can temporarily get out of the honey do list.

Well I think the porch addition needs to be brought up again.
I’m feeling a little crowed. And my remote is missing again.
