    As a retired Teacher, my wife shares your plight. I keep insisting there is a way around it, and no one has found it! But, welcome to the porch!

    He's right; I just refilled the 'frig for everyone. Haven't seen the coffee pot, but it's awful hot down here!

    20200829_180141.jpg

    I had a list of all the things that it hauled this year. By July, I realized I hadn't added anything in a while. Put it this way - that load times about 40 reruns was typical of this year!

    Fixing to enjoy Daytona, hot dogs, and some beverages while I water the yard. Because Saturday and Wednesday I get to. After 7.....

    Welcome, Ken. Beautiful truck you have there.

    That balloon is a 120. The pilots also have a 90 as well as a shaped one that looks like Horton. Lynn and I love crewing with them.

    Welcome Ken!

    I want one of these!
    Figured it was only a matter of time before someone used the quadcopter drone concept to make something like this.

    It sure would be nice to try one out Carl. It adds new meaning to the distance from point A to point B - "As the crow flies" :).

    Well I have a few things going on.
    1st and most importantly I'm already packing for my trip to Colorado to hunt elk next month.
    2nd it was 1 year ago yesterday that I brought home the F-150.
    3rd I sold my motorcycle about 2 months ago. Being on the road every day made me think a lot about it.
    4th I've been golfing with my wife after taking years off. I never knew that there was such things as "that didn't count " and "do over "...lol...I just chuckle every time my wife does that!!
    Have a good day!!

    My morning coffee is still kicking in; I read that post as you sold your 3rd motorcycle, and had been golfing with your 4th wife. I was thinking "this guy leads a helluva life!"

    My summer has been more mundane than that. I can't seem to get off the damn lawn mower. Here in western NC, it's been the wettest summer I can remember. usually this time of year, I only have to mow about once every three weeks because it's so dry. I'm mowing once every 4 days right now. No big deal ? I mow 5-7 acres, depending on whether the field next door gets cut or I skip it every other time. Takes me around 5 hours to mow it all. And this is my lawn mower:

    :pccoffee: Good morning Porch crew! Elk hunt, Harry? My hunting consists of trying to find the right rock at Lowe's! (I don't hunt, but that trip sounds great). I need to unbury my golf clubs too, come to think of it. Of course, a round when it's 100*+ is far less fun. Maybe this fall....

    I'm on the heating pad from yesterday, which isn't normal. But, I guess 21 bags of rocks isn't "Putz", it's "work on stuff". Here's where I ate all those stones. Two weeks ago, I re-did this path between the shed and greenhouse (for the fourth time), we both like it better. No more sand and little decomposed granite pieces in the pool.

    20200809_112608.jpg
    20200825_082029.jpg

    So, that left some pavers stacked up, and the wife hates the granite that just hasn't worked into a nice pathway surface. So, bring on the rocks!
    Green house;

    Shed;
    20200827_141502.jpg
    20200829_151303.jpg

    And, put off for all summer, the edge of the East fence where no one goes. When they put the new fence "back on our property", you have to get real skinny to get between the fence and AC. So, this;
    20200828_124626.jpg

    to this;
    20200829_143043.jpg
    20200829_143104.jpg

    Got ONE more little chore with the rocks, then I'm taking the day off! This week will have to be Putz, because I somehow have the rest of the medical appointments in the middle of every day except Tuesday and Friday. Have a great Sunday folks!

    This morning we finished up the construction needed for the rear landscaping. The first pic is the area, back in June when we were working on the pond. The second pic is how it looks today. We still need to transfer the Iris plants, put down a weed block and mulch it in. The last pic is two chickens I am cooking to take over to my sister's for dinner this afternoon.20200616_100350.jpg 20200830_132621.jpg 20200830_130826.jpg

    Beautiful, Tom! Our "pond" is a stock tank with lillies! And little feeder gold fish that I teach to call themselves Koi! I had lost the last of the big ones this summer, when I moved it a few feet over to the fence. I'm going to pump water through some PVC for aeroponic lettuce. On our little lot, everything is downsized!

    I have fancy goldfish that cost 39 cents each. When the Heron comes he can have 5 or 19 of them is he wants. I need to thin out the school.

    This is a pic from the 18th of August. The pond is in full sun so I have quite a few aquatic plants. I actually have to thin out the plants every week. 20200818_100500.jpg

    LOL Tom! We had a blue heron a few years back, that wanted our feeders. I built a PVC, camouflaged "structure" to keep him at bay. The fish were about 6" by then, and we'd been in yet another drought - so he thought he found another source! I had umbrella plant and parrot feather in with the lilies, but I got rid of them when I moved the tank. Collectors of yuck and algae. So the lilies got all repotted, and are starting over with the new fish.
    Years back, I built a waterfall pond behind the house - but I used limestone that's very common here. Also, very porous! All in all, it looked like it had been there forever, and was a beautiful addition that wouldn't hold water! So, now I just have the bubbler in the tank to make nice waterfall noise!

    Good morning all, at 0530 the bear paid a visit as we (dogs and I) were leaving the house for our morning constitution - the puppy stopped dead in her tracks while the two boys were ready to chase it. We ended up chasing it over to the neighbors (not by design).

    Puppy is now 12 weeks and has learned how to navigate the stairs - finally, she is heavy - 22 lb wiggle worm - it was getting hard for my wife to carry her down the stairs - she learned how to go up a few weeks ago.

    LOL No that is a wine bottle filled with water. I irrigate my potted herbs using this drip method. It actually works well for me.
