Well I finally broke down and ordered the OEM bed step today. They just seem overpriced but I saw a video of how easy it is to flip down and back up with your foot, so that sold me on it.

I have a Harbor Freight mini step I toss in the back. Doesn't help much! :anonymous:

I put a set of Weston tube steps on for the missus (she's 5'1") because she was having trouble getting in and I have stock factory suspension with no lift. She sometimes forget to use them and says they are awkward to get in with:facepalm:. I use them on occasion and have no problem. It's what works for you that counts :D.

I have a Remington Model Seven in .260 Rem.
The .260 is a wonderful cartridge that was totally marketed badly when it was introduced by Remington.
Low recoil, fast and accurate. 6.5 Swede in a short action.
Unfortunately , it's an almost forgotten cartridge, except by those that have it. Remington pushed factory ammo with 140's. They worked like crap. What the .260 likes is 120-to 130's .
They made a youth model with a shortened stock as well, as most Model Sevens.

    Evening all:
I really like the Remington 600, 660, and the 600 Mohawks , the model 7 is what I believe replaced them and is a nice gun, I should mention the .260 as another option
I load 129's for the 6.5 Rem. Mags, believe it or not, with factory 100 or 120's that caliber doesn't recoil that much, now the .350 Mag. is a different animal!
My fishing buddy Jim hit the jackpot today, well sort of, he stumbled on to 2 boxes of .300 SAUM at a local hardware store for $47.50 that are selling for $80 or more at most places like gun broker, he has a Remington 673 in that caliber and never bought any ammo for it!
At least he now has 40 brass for it, and an old buddy that can reload for it, HMMM, maybe time to teach him how to reload, I won't be around forever!

If this is true I will not be lining up to take a shot. Kind of quick from discovery of the virus to bring a vaccine to market for me. On another disheartening note, studies are showing that long term effects include back pain and baldness. Thus crap is almost as giving as Agent Orange.

I use LED now too. I had some fluorescent tubs left over. I actually had a Phillips LED tube go bad. Phillips makes the best LED products on the market. I have 6 4 tube fixtures in the garage and 3 of them are all LED. I prefer 6000K in the garage for working on projects. In the house I usually use 4000K to 4500K for general illumination and 3600K for under the counter lights. 35600K does not lend itself to color shifting of fruits and vegetables.

    I had tubes
    Went to led bulbs.
No idea on your K ratings means but I went with Daylight bulbs.
Carol says the garage looks like a runway when she drives in.
I have a motion sensor so when we drive in the lights come on.
House lights are also converting to led.
    Everything is 100 watt.
Don’t like that stupid ambiance feeling.
Nice and bright and 1/3 of power use..

Daylight is usually around 5000K K=Kelvin rating. And yes there is a glow from my garage when the doors are open. LOL

Happy Veterans Day ladies and Gentlemen. Remember today is 10% off at Home Depot for Veterans. If you have not done so verify your veteran status for Lowes and receive a 10% discount on everything every day. It is a simple process.

In Maryland you can have a Veteran status on your drivers licenses. The process is a bit more complicated but worthwhile to do.

We can do the same on PA drivers' licenses.

And we also have various versions of license plates for veterans. Some require you submit a DD 214 or 215 to validate your status/awards.

In Texas you can have VETERAN status on your driver's license. You just go to the DMV office, present your discharge papers, they verify it, and away you go with that word on your new license. Works for a 10% discount at a number of places.

    Happy Veteran's Day everyone!

I got ours at AMP, who I think is the manufacturer. Not sure if it is cheaper than OEM though. Ours is 2nd gen. I call it my "old man step" and like it so much I totally forget how much I paid.

We have the same type of plated in Maryland. I have a Vietnam Campaign Ribbon sticker
    on the back window.

What do you do when the wife buys a large roll of bubble wrap on clearance? When you said you were getting SHRINK wrap?

Say thank you, and use up what you can on the North side of the greenhouse!

That ought to absorb some heat too!

Waiting on pump number 2 to show up today to complete that task. But I have the new wire run, and tubing splice ready.
