    Good Morning folks.
So sorry to hear about the loss of your friends Mark. I hope the vaccine puts a damper on the covid. Time to get back to normal.
Hi Susan :hattip:. People totally amaze me. We are all tired of the restrictions for over a year now and we still need to respect each other and not take out there frustration on others. I wish you the best and stay safe. How are the girls? Have a good day.

Love that sign Carl. Made my morning.

Have a great day all and be safe. Coffee time.

    Good morning All,

Woke to 3 more inches and snow all day today not to mention a high of 17.

Mark, sorry to hear about the loss of friends, we too have lost friends and some family members to COVID complications.

We live in a county that still thinks the COVID is a political hoax so it is always a challenge going to the store, pharmacy and other necessary errands. The Sheriff's department with the heath department are posting daily results on cases and deaths through several social media platforms but it is looked upon as part of the hoax even thou this is one of the red-ish counties in the state. Don't you know it is only the flu and people really don't die from the virus - I have stopped responding to that mentality. I used to respond with - Yes the flu does cause between 22K and 30K deaths a year but those are all due to complications brought on by the flu - same applies with a lot of the COVID deaths. Those that are bent on the miss-truth just are not worth the conflict responding brings when confronted with facts - so I quit fighting it and walk away.

Be safe every one - protect yourself, we will get through this. Have a great day,

A little something every chance we get.
Good morning all, and please do continue to stay safe! I'm one shot away from being able to say I have two shots - that's all. When everyone has theirs, I promise to be happy for all!

Truly sorry for anyone you know or knew in dealing with this. I'm lucky in that no one in my small circle has contracted it. Though people in their circles have. It's really astounding to think that something that has killed more Americans in ONE year than all of World War II can be thought of as a hoax. End of comment to avoid the hammer.

Those that refuse to mask, even for other sake, are courting Karma for sure. They might think they aren't hurting anyone, but they certainly aren't HELPING anyone either.

    Stay safe all!

I thought I'd seen about everything at my age. I knew the government always talked down to us and treated us like we were children. I knew that all successful politicians considered us morons. I knew some of us were highly impressionable and vulnerable to illogical conspiracy theories.
What I never knew till this past year was that fully half of us deserved that judgement and are amazingly easy to manipulate that way.
Now at my advanced age, I'm forced to consider my own place in all this, and to try, with my addled brain, to decide which theories to subscribe to going forward.
...Top of the morning to all you world wise people.

Stand your ground Sue. This stuff is terrible. And now with the Super Virus creditable sources are saying to wear two masks. When I am in public places, grocery shopping, that is what I am doing. I have gone from washing my mask every week to washing my mask after I am in a public place.

About a month ago, when the Thanksgiving surge hit, I moved up to KN95 in public places such as stores and pharmacies. We only have a few so I'm still using the same one, careful to hang it on a steering wheel stalk and not touch the outside. I have some lighter weight ones that I've been washing as well. I heard there is some way to recycle the KN95's, I should look into it.

That's not the first time I've heard that shot #2 can have a quite a reaction. Not sure which vaccine it is, assuming Pfizer because it's been out longest. Moderna is pretty much the same thing so it may not matter.

Figured it was about the safest place to shop - commissary, since everyone wears a mask.... but the last few weeks, more not wearing it properly and then the jack ass that wouldn't back up. I'm always "rude" because I've been asking folks to back up for weeks now. If you had the virus and those around you could tell, it'd be easy.

I've heard that before. Hope she feels better fast.

In Maryland the over 65 group will not have shots till March. We are in phase 1B now. Over 75 and teachers are up for shots. America needs to get the schools open again. Everything in our country revolves around the school day.

No one in my family that has received the shots have had any adverse effects of the vaccine. Just lucky I guess. Lots of people have had side effects.

We really need rain and snow in parched California and man o man are we getting it. I live in north central California and we are experiencing what is known as a atmospheric river. Waves of heavy rain and high winds. Winds currently where I live are 30mph+ with gusts of 50+ . Expected to get worse as the night goes on. This will be around for a couple days on and off. Some ski resorts in the Sierras are expecting 6’ to 7’ of snow by the time this is over. Went around the house today and made sure everything is battened down and put away.
I actually love winter and bad weather, always have. Must be the duck hunter in me and my Norwegian ancestry. I’ve spent time in duck blinds when it was 0 degrees, windy and snowing. Enjoyed every minute of it. Some say I just ain’t right, I have to agree.

Good morning everyone! We got about 2" of wet snow through the day yesterday - packed down over time so it will be an easy shovel/plow this morning. Our temps toward this weekend are slated to be close to zero which means we'll be sub-zero here. The driveway will be a luge run if I don't clear it.

    Stay safe!

Same here. I can get the Taco out regardless, but our older Lexus has issues. I have a blower, but like to clear it with a scoop shovel. Takes about an hour. I just take my time, enjoy the quiet that a snow cover seems to bring. I clean out around the mailbox out at the road too, sometimes get a thank you wave from the carrier. :)
