Just finished up plowing out for the 3rd time. Not a ton of snow but we need to be able to get out to check on Lynn's 94 year old mom who lives down the hill in the old farmhouse on our property. Ended up having to clear off her satellite dish so she could watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Some things are important!!! Still falling pretty fast so I'll have to plow at least once in the morning, too.

    So wind is howling.
    Actually freight train wind
    Snow is falling.
Been fasting for blood work this am.
    Yeup there closed until later.
    Call to reschedule.
Yea by the time they open I’ll be empty for 15 hours.
Then to resched for later in the day?
    Yea not going to happen.

So now waiting in the shop to make a “decision” on opening or not today.
    20 appointments for 20 techs.
And they decide when I have to leave. So I bust ass for two hours to open up
And then get a closed text.
At least the wife ain’t working so that’s not on my mind.

Good morning, all. We've got another 4 or 5 inches of snow overnight and still have some light snow falling. I'll head out when it gets light and plow for the 4th time. Probably have to do it once more before it's all over. I gave the plow a workout this time...and me, too.

Stay warm and safe out there!!

Mike that freight train wind is what we had for the past day and a half. I hope it moves faster over your area instead of just hanging around like it did here!

The storm here is easing but there is still light snow falling. It is 2-1/2 feet deep on the porch. I keep the snowblower in a shed out at the edge of the yard, should be a fun trudge to get out there!

    Wind blow doors same here.
Either side door or garage door access.
This morning will be side door.
4 feet away from door is almost clear.
Deep at the end of drive.
I’m lucky my late start day.
So I didn’t have to be out at 5 am to start blowing.
Waiting for a blast text from our new phone system at work.
    Stupid.
    Never tested it.
You don’t hear from them, they are open.
How about a text one way or the other?
Going to be a screwed up day no matter what.

Morning folks :hattip:. Chilly down here last night and lower temps than normal for this time of year. Can't complain to much because it's better than whats back home.

I hated when things were closed or canceled after you arrive Mike. And fasting for a long time can be a real bummer. But on a good note, your wife is safe at homeso no worries there. Be safe.

Try and have a good day folks. Those dioing snow removal duty, be safe and don't overdo it. Unfortunately we're at that age for issues. Be careful and be safe.

    Damn it Phil!!

It's Groundhog Day. Will there be an early spring? Or are we in for another six weeks of winter? Punxsutawney Phil, the "Seer of Seers, Sage of Sages, Prognosticator of Prognosticators and Weather Prophet Extraordinary," has made his official forecast.

The iconic groundhog emerged from his burrow shortly before 7:30 a.m. eastern time Tuesday and saw his shadow, which means he believes there will be six more weeks of winter, unwelcome news for those hoping for an early spring.

Any one in for a ground hog hunt:)

    Afternoon everyone,

I too had blood work (fasted) and my bi-annual physical this morning down in the Springs. Just go back to let the dogs out and now off to the dentist for a cleaning then tomorrow get my crown fitted. Tried to get both on the same day but with this scheduling cleanings so far out couldn't get it to work.

    Be safe everyone
