Are you up by Woodland Park or Cripple Creek? Grandson was at the Olympic Training Center for International Trap and Skeet shooting for a few summers so spent quite a bit of time out there.

I have to admit, my wife shoveled more snow than I did today. The snowblower was overmatched by the depth of this snow so it took forever to finish; in the past I've never had to fill the tank before getting everything done, and today I used 1.5 tankfuls. We're both beat.

Weather Service finally called yesterday's festivities an official blizzard in my area. I could have told them that for half the price.

It was a true nor'easter, despite the fact that the system itself came in from the west. Once it got to the east coast it just sat there and pumped moisture in off the ocean. Our weathervane was pointing directly northeast during the meat of it.

We live near Florissant and Lake George - closer to Cripple Creak than Woodland Park.

Where in WI do you live? I grew up in Richmond then spent way too many years in the Madison area going to school. we still go back and visit good friends in Waupaca and Weyauwega. Friends in Green Bay as well and of course Madtown and surrounding communities. Really miss the people but not the winters, believe it or not winters here are not as bad, we do have more sun days than Florida so winter temps are not as good or damp.

We’re from the Madison area originally but live outside of Merrill now. About a 1/2 hour north of Wausau.
Madison was nice for a long time but it was to close to Chicago and now has all the big city problems. Glad to be away from there.

Good morning, all. Woke up this morning to....snow covered driveway again. WTF? More snow headed our way about every other day for a week but, at this point, just an inch at a time. Oh, well. Stay safe and warm, no matter where you are!

Good Morning folks:hattip:. Another day of adventure . The ladies want to go to a Flea Market (that may or may not be open) down in West Palm Beach 1 1/2 hours away! You would think one of them would have the sense to try calling to see if they are open. I don't really want to go, but they are not good with directions. I'll see how the morning plays out.
Hope you all have a safe day, stay warm and be careful...

    Morning all:
I got out of prison yesterday afternoon, the neighbor had pity on me and cleared my driveway with his snow blower, I offered to pay him but he refused the offer, couldn't thank him enough! I think it's time to get a snow blower just for the few big snows we get on occasion, I don't think right now is the time to buy one though!

Welcome to the thread. Hope you were able to negotiate a decent price.

Did you leap into the WIFI connected detectors?

I have been busy the last few days and did not have a chance to look at TW. Lots of new posts to sort thru. We had about a 3in dusting of snow in the DC area. Once again we thank the Northeast states for taking the brunt of this storm.

    Good morning all,

What a medical whirlwind yesterday. Drove down to the Springs for an 0800 semi-annual physical, got blood drawn. Went to Costco for gas, then a breakfast and coffee stop, bank and post office. Headed home for two hours to take the dogs out then to the dentist for a cleaning. While there the dentist came in and asked if I had time to get my crown fitted and clued as there was a cancelation - so no dentist trip today but I did not get home until after 1700. Long day in a mask for this homebody...

A little snow in our forecast, not the storm we wanted but we will take anything we can. Snow pack is way low for this time of year.

    Hang in there east coasters,

Will what years were you in Madtown, I left in 91 used to live on Jennifer Street but in the early 80's lived on the Haswell farm in Deforest (which is no longer there). Loved Madtown back then but I can see why you left. Nothing stays the same some get better some not so much.

I was born there. Lived on the north east side for about 30 years and then moved to the Westport area between Waunakee and Madison for about 10 years before moving north. Went to high school at Madison East and then on to Tech school at MATC to learn the Machinist Trade.

You guys out East get ready for another one. We’re forecasted to get 6”-10” Thursday night into Friday. It’s headed your way after.

So sadly Disneyland remains closed. But the downtown area is open. Heading there tomorrow for a fix. Might have to put on a long sleeved shirt. Could get down into the 70’s. Heck maybe as low as the high 60’s.

What’s this snow thing you speak of. I think I’ve seen it on the tops of far off mountains. Why would you want to move something so picturesque?

I’m sure Mike has hidden Jems of the area he lives. But this is one I found while out there.
