Here is a tip for you. If you are going to use small brad nails to hold the bottom in better, at least go out and find some small ring shank brads(grooves on the sides of the nails). These will hold much better under the extra strain. My experience has been when nailing the bottoms of drawers in place, is that it is easy to split the wood you are trying to drive the nails into, as the wood is usually very thin -Be extra careful or maybe think of drilling a very tiny pilot hole for the nail. Most run of the mill drawers are built weak.

Thanks 2017 w 21k miles built as a product demo truck. Top gear, rigid, king, etc but installs"for demo only"...so the first order of business was to rip out all the electrical and start over...sub panel, etc. Added a second battery charging and high amp aux circuit while I was at it.

On the subject of traffic tickets; the last 4 times that I got pulled over, I managed to receive only verbal warnings (one of which was very heated on the officer's part ). Considering the speeds involved (3 were on my Ducati 1198), I felt extremely fortunate.
I think that being an olde guy probably helped. :turtleride:
Also, on the bikes, I'm an all-gear-all-the-time rider, and that may have helped as well, including pulling the helmet off to expose a grey mane. :)

THX Mark. I cut the panel to fit then brad nailed it from both sides and the back. The bottom panel is just a tongue and groove with about an 1/8 inch groove. The new bottom just rest on top of the original bottom.

Good morning everyone. Quiet day yesterday...looks like today will be the same. Snow predicted for most days this coming week - more nuisance amounts than anything. I'm ready for warm weather, though.

    Stay safe out there!

Good morning all. It was cold and rainy yesterday with a dust of snow last night. My grilling area took a hit but can be fixed up easily.

    Happy Valentine's Day everyone.

Hope all of you have a great day. It was -10 when walking the dogs this morning up to -7 already Woo Hoo - high today a whopping 6 with 3-6" of snow in the forecast. Cold week ahead. Will, hope you are doing well and staying warm. Col, can I borrow your plow, I am jealous now that I will have to sit exposed plowing this week LOL. Long john's added to the wardrobe for this weeks plowing duties.

Have a great day everyone, stay safe and warm...

So glad it does not get that cold here in the Mid-Atlantic Region that often. Stay warm Mike.

I've never lived anywhere that got that white stuff. When I was a kid with a paper route, I earned enough points to take a snow trip to the Sierras. I wore double Levis, double socks, high top Keds, two long sleeve shirts, sweater and jacket, and a Johnie Carson hat. I got off the bus feeling like Charlie Brown all bundled up, but I was going to stay warm. I found a garbage can lid and a hill, and promptly found a deep hole at the base of a tree with slush at the bottom. I say deep, I mean deep. I thought I was going to die down there. By the time I chewed my way out of there, I was ready for home and a nice hot bath. I spent the rest of the day shivering in the bus in sloppy wet clothes. I vowed never again and have been true to my vow all these years. I take it back. I had to put on chains once coming back from Reno on 80, but that's another story.

Alan, as a kid growing up in northern Wisconsin we had a Tobago run near our neighborhood that would end up on the ice of the river in our town. Unfortunately one run we were over loaded (piled on eight of us) the toboggan and when sliding at the end of the run on the river we broke threw the ice - a very cold walk home. I ended up with frost bite on my feet - to this day I have to be very carful when hunting, snowshoeing, skiing or any activity where I am outside in the cold for extended hours. Lessons learned but still remember the fun stuff :bananadance::thumbsup:

I still like the snow and activities it offers, always have and don't get cold very often once you learn how to dress for it. But I can see where you are coming from..
