A little something every chance we get.
Well, the sun never really came out, but it got to 79* so what ya' gonna do?

I know it's brown now, but the grass and soil by the sunroom door have always been "depressed" from traffic and wear. I put sand in every year, and it just doesn't care. We gonna' fix that!

It's perfect dog width! Door opens to the right, and we always enter left, so maybe fewer clippings and mess sneaking in. And the tape measure never entered in to it!

Good morning, everyone! It got into the 40s and sunny here yesterday afternoon - lots of snow melt. Today we're supposed to get rain which will also help melt it. I can tell spring is coming - even when the temps drop below freezing, I can hear water running underground off our hill down towards our lake - good news since our water tables were low last year.

No big plans for today. Stay safe out there!!

The morning doves stay here all year round. They flock around our bird feeder every morning - 30+ of them. For us, Robins are the harbingers of Spring coming.

To be honest I’m not a “birdie” so not 100% sure if they actually leave however, they don’t sing.

    Morning all:
Spring is coming, I have daffodils showing with buds on them. There are a bunch of them on the property and they were hardly flowering and thought they were just getting old. Then, I read an article where you shouldn't cut them down until the leaves turn brown, seems like they needed the green leaves to provide for the bulbs.
Started leaving them alone until the leaves turned brown and now have plenty of flowers when they bloom,!

Morning folks. Glad there is a bit of a thaw for everyone up North. I hope the thaw don't cause road damage up near our place upstate PA. Last heavy snow season thaw the waters washed out a big section of Rte 487 before Orangeville. Many years ago(can't say for sure maybe 40 or so) the bridge on Rte 487 just past Orangeville gog washed out and the state put a temporary one lane bridge up that was there for about 7 years. Only 3 more weeks and we start our migration home. I hope we don't get a late March blizzard.
Have a great day folks and be safe.

Happy Sunday all! Woke up feeling pretty good after my wife and I got our second Moderna shots yesterday. No apparent ill effects. I have to say Volusia County Florida did a nice job for both shots even with the supply delay due to weather. Well organized and pretty quick. Have a great day and stay safe out there!

    Good morning all,

Nice job Kurt, looks good. We are far from being able to do any landscape mods - still snow on the ground plus March and April are our big snow months (historically, there is nothing normal this year so we shall see). Our reservoirs and water table is still way down so we need the snow, it seeps into the ground better than hard rain which tends to run off due to all the decomposed granite.

Nothin major planned today, family zoom at 1000 (noon est) then who knows, a nap maybe the zoom does wear me out sometimes.

Stay safe everyone and thanks for the vaccine updates my second Maderno is March 10 then my wife should be getting her first one towards the end of the month.

Raining today in Bowie, MD. Laundry was done yesterday so today I will practice the guitar for a while clean up the workbench and veg out.

NY Strip Steaks for dinner tonight. Going to cook them on the Weber Kettle. Going to purchase a pellet grill when spring hits. I hope the Weber Smoke Fire goes on sale in the next month or so.

:pccoffee:  Hey there 60's/wannabes/Susan. Started my mother's taxes yesterday, ugh. I keep finding holes in the documentation we've collected. It's weird because they held pretty much everything in joint ownership, and yet there are still all these docs I need for just my dad. (He passed away in 2020 for the n00bs reading this.) Oh and here's a weird one -- the state of Pennsylvania will not accept a joint tax return if one of the people passed away during the year. WITAF is up with that.

    Good Morning

    Truck looks great Kurt.

Been a busy weekend. Wanted to burn the brush pile Friday but was way to windy so ran a bunch of errands.
Saturday the winds were good so we lit the brush pile. It got into the upper 40’s and was itching to putz in the Garage. Had a few things to install on the Wolverine getting ready for the Badlands in June.
Got the spare tire mount installed and the tire mounted and then put in the water/dust proof box for tools and gear.
It’s supposed to be rain snow mix with 1”-2” of the white stuff so other than a grocery store run not much else on the books for today.

As much as I love my pellet grill I still prefer a steak cooked on the old charcoal grill. Did some bone-in ribeyes last night on mine...mmm!
