Every time I go to the GP, DOC, I come away with more doctor visits. I have an appointment with the hearing doctor tomorrow. Next week it is the cardiologist, and then back to the GP the week after that for a physical. Best to know about problems early rather than not at all.

Today is Meals on Wheels then adding some beneficial bacteria to the pond. My son helped me install the pressure flo filter and remove the in pond filter last Sunday. We also hung the wind chimes back up and adjusted the canopy top over the outside cooking area. Getting the back yard ready for Easter.

    Good morning all,

That is AWESOME Harry, wish I could say the same.

Got a call from the Cardiologist, stress test was not conclusive so now we step up to the Nuclear Stress Test. Their concern is the irregular beating when at my max level, everything else is normal.. We shall see, Alice thinks it is a result of living at a high altitude. I had to remind her that both of my parents had heart issues and died from them. It is in my genes not due to living at 9K. We will get it figured out and fixed - no worries.

Woke to a little more snow on the ground and more on its way over night - then again Friday - keep it coming the daily melt is slow and seeping into the ground versus running off - kind of a like a slow steady rain. Already have seen improvements with the well filters not bogging down as quickly. Col, I am a little jealous of your weather as I want to get out and start some projects but patience will prevail and the more snow we get the less fire dangers we see in late spring and early summer.

FYI, we live 3 hours from Boulder - just in case anyone was going to ask. We are praying for those that went through the shooting and for the families of those that lost loved ones.

Have a great day everyone - be safe

    Awesome Harry!
    Cookin' Tom!
And, yes, I seem to collect pills! At least they still all fit in the daily bins of the pill monitor!
Don't you hate going to bed when your chunk of the weather is not going to arrive until later? Ours finally came at 1:45 (as predicted) and was through in 1/2 hour. Looked like this:

    Screenshot_20210323-015824_KXAN Weather.jpg
Lots of lightning, less thunder, and glad I could not really hear the wind and rain. We got 0.80", and NO hail! Everything intact this morning! Have a great second Friday Porchies!

Mike - Good luck on the nuclear stress test! It makes your circulatory system go from zero to 200 mph in a few seconds flat............. Let'er buck! Hell-of-a-ride sort of adventure. Mucho adrenaline!

    Good morning fellow porches,
It has been a few days since posting here. I am still taking nourishment and that is good

6 I liked the pics of the hot air balloon. Very nice. What do you do if people get scared of heights. People have to look over the side and go WOW. I am sure that balloon rides aren't for me. We get a fair amount of them flying over us here in W Mi. Battle Creek has a festival every year and the balloons fill the sky. We have even had them land in our yard only to be greeted by my German Shephard Maze.

I have been enjoying March Madness. Good games Sister Jean must be a good luck charm. My bracket is all busted up as we do a competition for bragging rites within the family. Everyone wants to beet Grand Pa. It is amazing the gals which know the least seem to do the best . Just simply amazing.

Got both vehicles into the shop. Challenge was the turtle project (RSI Shell) in the middle of one floor with the Caliraised sliders still palletized behind that.

Got to work, shifting things back, shell forward, took sliders off the pallet. Parked over sliders and that pallet! Truck in the shop. Had about 1" to spare. I really need to install that front camera for tight parking! My wife's new CRV in the shop.

Got my pool damage estimate (not covered by insurance). $22,000. Ouch.

My daughter and her boyfriend will stop by for dinner tonight, so I have two helpers to help get the rest of those clips into assembly the RSI shell.

Your Alice may have hit on a good point... How long have you lived at 9k, and importantly also, at what altitude was the Stress test done at? Most tests are done by Technicians, but Stress tests always have a Cardiologist in the room. 9K itself is a big deal for most Seniors, so I imagine the opposite is true also.

We have lived at this altitude for 11 years now and the test was done down in the Springs at 6K. I have lived in CO since 1998 in the Springs and have never had any issues when climbing, mtn biking, hiking or camping at higher altitudes. Until two years ago we had 8 acres bordering BLM at 11K with a Yurt, used it a lot over the years. I think my Doc is more concerned with the fact both my parents had heart disease and died from complications from such. The concern is only in my left artery, the right is clear as a whistle. We only found out about the possible blockage last month when I had a CT Cardio Scan done - out of concern due to my family history - nothing else has ever shown a need.

I think you’ll be just fine Mike. The CT calcium test you had is not always accurate. I’m surprised your cardiologist had you do a basic stress test rather than a stress echocardiogram or a perfusion/nuclear stress test with the findings of possible left anterior descending artery stenosis. The LAD is known as the widow maker when it becomes 100% occluded. If you are not having shortness of breath or chest pain on exertion that is a very positive sign. I’ve seen numerous stress exercise tests that showed false positives, false negatives and in between. The stress test measures what’s called ST wave depression. 1 millimeter of ST depression or more is generally considered a positive test (positive for coronary artery disease) but 1 mm or less depression can be inconclusive and often is not due to coronary artery disease. I think it wise you are having nuclear stress testing done in view of your family history.
I assume the arrhythmia you are experiencing with exercise are PVC’s (premature ventricular contractions). PVC’’s which everyone experiences at some time or another are generally suppressed with exercise. Most of the time people experiencing PVC’s aren’t even aware of them. Since you are experiencing them during exercise I assume that is
    your doctors concern.
I did not intend to get so detailed but I know that often physicians do not adequately explain things to their patients or do it so lay people can understand.
Since you live at high altitude and perform vigorous activities without symptoms that’s a good sign that you are just fine. It’s good to get it all checked out.

Ken, I likely wasn't clear enough myself. The Stress test was a Stress echocardiogram and they did add the dye to get a better look but that still was not conclusive enough to determine any significant blockage. The CT Calcium showed 73% at 641 potential blockage in the left artery hence the need to due further testing. There was a doctor present with the tech for the treadmill part of the test but I am not sure she was a cardiologist, mine was not present. They kept asking me when I had experienced pains in my chest, I kept telling them I have never had any pains in my chest even this past November elk hunting with 60 lbs on my back and post holing in several feet of snow at 11K for miles. My EKG's do not show anything until they did the exercise segment. There are 26 pages of graphs that I do not have a clue on what they mean. I am not that concerned as the worse case scenario is a stint.

I've never seen anyone land who didn't have a smile on their face. Sometimes they get a little nervous before or just after launch but once they see the views they seem to settle down.

Evening Porch People! Well, I got more pavers and sand, and an edging connector or two; just couldn't get grass at San Marcos. Will try Kyle tomorrow.
Got home and gave this stuff a workout:

So, minus the grass touch up area, this project is done!!

Hey PA (and regional) folk, I reckon they haven't taken all the "crew" outta these new aircrews. Young NCO from Ramp was passing these out at shift change Sunday night. Said the KC-10 crew gave 'em a couple half racks when they downloaded and serviced the aircraft. I got one, and somehow Danny walked away with three. We're saving 'em to enjoy Thursday evening before dinner at the cabin.

Haven't had one of those in years! Now and then, I'd see them in Michigan long ago. Hard to find in Texas.

Love that Yuengling beer. The only time I get to enjoy it is when we travel back to Pennsylvania. I never miss drinking a couple bottles. They are suppose to be expanding sales to the west but I have yet to see it anywhere in California.
