California has a huge variety of fresh water fish but we don’t have walleyes. The only time I caught some was on a trip to Wyoming several years ago. Great eating fish. Dinner that night was memorable. And smallmouth are my favorite eating fish. Pound for pound they are also best fighting fish. We have a lot of stripers out here especially in the California delta. Also great eating and make for super fish tacos. Think I need to get my butt out fishing again soon.

Thanks Carl and Kurt. I see the surgeon tomorrow and I'll see what he has to say. If he says surgery is needed, I will schedule it after June 5th. Best friends son has his wedding then. Can't miss that .

:rofl::rofl:That IS how they made them! I've had that thing since 1983!!

Spent more at Ace, because (what we have in Lockhart) WalMart is all plastic wheels, and our Tractor Supply never has what they say. So, it was a little bigger & a little more, OR drive to New Braunfels tomorrow. I went bigger.....

    Evening all:
1983 Kurt, you definitely got your use out of it! I'm the same, no matter how old it is, I hate when it finally gives out and I need to replace it.
Probably if it were mine I would just be looking for a replacement wheel for it, the rest of it looks like it has plenty of life left! :D:rolleyes:

    Anyone relate to this!!!!
Just read an article where steel prices have tripled also, and copper prices are predicted to skyrocket.
The stimulus checks should be renamed COLA checks, we all need them just to cover the increasing prices of almost everything.

All the "modern" wheels are too big, don't have an axle collar that small, and have too much offset! It was a no win on the replacement side (as far as what is available here and now).

I got my money out of it for sure - every spring and fall I hated bouncing those plastic wheels up and down the walks with the plants; no give over bumps, and such small diameter, getting over pebbles was a hardship! Back then, all I could afford! Let's see if I can abuse this one that long!

When I scored those three sheets of "sheeting plywood" for $25 each, and got them all with Christmas gift cards, I felt like a high roller for sure! When you're moving, no one can see the grade!

So, did that line of rocks finish my job for me after I lined them all up in the right place? No, no they didn't. I did. Here's what happened.

Now, the mulch won't blow into the yard when I blow the deck after mowing. Rocks don't blow so much. Now, I got to find the next project....

Good morning all! Not much to report, but here is my yesterday..
It was annual rain gutter cleanout day. Spring wet leaf buds are the worst, but a good blower will disperse them accordingly, and it's only a once a year deal. Aerator cleanout, price went up, SOP. Pulling out, the guy said, "see ya in 5 years". It'll be more like 3. His leaky suction pump left a big spot of pump oil on the driveway, as usual. I'll clean it up with the dragon, as usual.. sigh. Next time, I'll have a sheet of plywood ready to slide under, as soon as he sets the %#@!! brake!

I'm behind with mowing again, due to constant rain last week, so that's job one today. New fridge coming in a few days. 20 years on the old one, still works ok, but bottom freezer became a PIA for people with bad backs, so the new one is a side by side. Stoped at Lowes while in town, picked up a few potted plants to hang up on the deck. Humming birds like them. Couple kids coming in for Mothers day. Slowly getting back to normal.

    Good Morning Folks.
TGIF for the folks still 9 to 5.
Go to see the knee doctor and then with everyone talking about cutting their grass and trimming, reminded me I need to get a haircut.
Have a great day and be safe folks.

I sort of thought you might not be able to find a decent set of wheels for the hand truck. At almost 40 years old the old hand truck is dead. Nice replacement. The bigger tires are a lot nicer and the grab bar in the back will come in handy. I like what you have accomplished around the pool, it looks fantastic.

Today I pick up my hearing aids and start a new adventure in my life. Getting older is not for the weak. We are off to a late lunch/early dinner when I get back from Costco today. Supposed to rain later on but the last two rain cycles sort of passed us by.

Ha! I haven't cut my hair since the beginning of March last year. Both of us have Covid hair. Almost long enough to get forehead hair in a pony-tail. I haven't had hair this long since high school.
And I kind of like it. Harder to wash, but I like the look. My wife says she likes it too. Think I'll keep it.

:pccoffee: Good Morning and Happy Friday Friday Porch Pals! Another loverely day to work in the yard, and try not to worry about the truck. Going to play with repotting today, and try and get the worse plants out of the way somewhere. After the freeze of Snopocolypse/Snovid-21, plants are somewhat hard to come by here. They come and go. And seemingly get bought en masse. I never see the customers but I was at Kyle Lowe's two days in a row, and the entire front section of annuals in front of the garden gate had been changed!

Going to look nice, Mike, but 34*??????:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: That's SO February!
