Second this option. Just handle the trap with gloves on and clean the trap with soap and water after every kill. Moles have a keen sense of smell and they can smell the previously killed mole and the scent from your hands.

The Dino ribs came out so much better than expected yesterday. I will smoke them again in the future.

Need to go to Lowes this morning and maybe to the MD MVA for a vision test. Depends on how I feel.

    Have a great day today.

Another one I tried was mothballs. Stuff them into the rodent trails every few feet, supposedly drives them off. All that happened to us was that the yard smelled like, well, mothballs. :-/

As a kid, we had a dog that liked to "chase" moles - by excavating tunnels. If one wandered in from a neighboring lot - the yard would look like a construction site in nothing flat.......

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Those traps work well -- I usually get my "man" (mole) whenever I put out my traps. I have 3 traps as I have bought one, and got the other two at yard sales around my neighborhood. The Grub-ex works well, but if one lives next to a woodsy area as I do -its extra hard to keep them out. My little "tuxedo" kitty does her part as well by getting her share, and putting them at our doorsteps. She has slowed down the past few years, but still gets 10-15 a year. She gets the babies, and does not mess with the adults - she leaves those for me to get - she "told" me -they have too big of teeth! Her first year staying here as a kitten (she was ferrel) she brought 49 to us , these were actually counted, so there could have been more. She is a heck of a "hunter"
Back to the traps, -I saw a pict of a plastic one of this type of a trap. Of course these would not rust, but would they be as durable?

Sorry David. I switched over and it is actually easier on the eyes. I'll try using a more visible color for those still on the normal mode. My apologies Sir.

Just teasing ya there my good man. Enjoy reading your posts here. :)I tried the black theme just doesn’t work for me for some reason the standard seems easier on my eyes.

No problem. I saw what I did wrong. I copied and pasted in blue from another post and to change the font color I hit White not realizing it wouldn't show up in the white background screen . I will remedy that. :)

Good morning everyone. Today is the day I am going to rehang the doors on our first shed. The doors have become harder to open due to them hitting the wood/brick standing area in front of the doors. My son thinks the shed is sinking. I think the doors are sagging lower. Either way this needs to be done. I have almost 3/4 of an inch wiggle room to rehang the doors up higher or I cut off about 1/2 inch of the lower edge of the door. I need to rebuild the shed. This shed is close to 30 years old and some of the old T1-11 plywood siding is looking pretty ratty. If I rebuild I may take down the entire shed and rebuild it larger. Right now it is 8X8 and I can rebuild it to 8X10 or 8X12 if I push it. But that is a project for another year, hoping the prices of lumber return to a more normal cost. That statement is up for debate and might get some of us banned.

Good Morning Folks. My friends son and fiancé were married quite a few months ago but due to the pandemic they couldn't celebrate with family and friends...Today is the Wedding Celebration Reception. Years ago when he was a toddler my daughter would baby sit him and now he is married and someday starting a family of his own. Now I feel REALLY old.

Have a great day folks and be safe out there.

80's today and the Swamp Azz humidity isn't supposed to kick in here till tomorrow.
That means it's yard work and clean the vehicles today.
Think I'll swing the metal detector at one of the beaches at first light tomorrow morning.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch and Happy Saturday to all! More questionable weather this weekend; at least I have a solid PUTZ schedule for today!

It's really the culmination of issues that started with the shortages caused by all the Western wildfires, then downhill from there. (That should keep me safe!)

Thought about you the other day - wife had some small beef tenderloins, and I wanted to do a reverse sear, which I never had. I used the stove and then a cast iron pan because of the small size (and fear of ruination!); but that enlightened me to the reality that I could use the gas grill as an oven, and the Masterbuilt as the sear next time!
And if I make 321 ribs again, I'm going to shorten the 2 hour wrap with liquid to 1 hour, to see if they can stay a little firmer. So, 3-1-1 ribs!
And I have extra temp probes now, so next briskit gets the new salt and pepper rub I couldn't get here that I have now, more time and trust the probes!
