    Afternoon all:
Hoping for a good outcome Dave, I take precautions using permethrin on hunting clothing but not on my regular clothing when working outside. I have had a bunch of ticks on me or buried in me over the years just working around the property, hate those little disease carrying bloodsuckers!

Funny thing is, while disability fraud is rampant in California, it's very difficult for a legitimate claim to get through. Just before my open heart surgery I applied. It was rejected because they didn't like the diagnosis. Decisions are made by people with apparently no real guide lines. So a guy that's worked all his life, has a life threatening condition and is scheduled for about as major a surgery as possible can be rejected on a whim. While a person whose been on welfare their entire life has no problems.

I finally got it straightened out "after" I was back to work. The system is seriously broken. Needs to be completely scrapped and reinvented, without any of the current employees being involved.

Join the crowd! I know a guy who lost part of his leg in a MC accident in his 20's, he has been on full disability ever since. IMO, he could have worked certain specific jobs with his "slight handicap", no reason what so ever that he couldn't!

Funny about that. I worked for a guy who was born without the use of his legs. He lived in a wheelchair his entire life. Worked as an Aerospace engineer for TRW and drove a red Mustang Mach I, fast, very fast.

Thanks @MQQSE. I'm home and feeling better already. Doxycycline is pretty amazing stuff. A 10- or 14-day course of doxycycline knocks them both out, no lasting aftereffects if you catch it early enough. Lady up the hill has had Lyme 7 times! o_O

    Good morning everyone!!!

Yesterday's weather here was overcast and cooler until about 4 when the clouds began to clear and then.....magnificence. Lynn and I crewed a hot air balloon flight and it was absolutely glorious.

I'll probably cut some grass today and then hit the pool.

The hot air balloon crew life can be filled with waiting. But you also get a lot of glorious moments.

Have a great day and be safe out there!!

    Morning
    Been away racing this weekend.
Bob did an awesome job driving.
Beat cars that have much higher aerodynamics and cornering speed.
So First in class 5 races. 4 thirds and 1 second overall.
They have to group cars the best they can but 3 seconds a lap difference can’t be made up.
He should have been 4th overall every race but he kicked major ass.
    Very proud of him.

We came home safe and sound. Can’t ask for more than that…

Beautiful pictures Mark. ooks like you had a fine day.

Mike: Congrats on a great day of racing and an enjoyable weekend.

Nothing is ever as easy as it seems. Once I got into the garage cabinet rebuild I realized the cabinets were beyond repair, and if I fixed them I still had 30 year old repurposed kitchen cabinets. I found 2 cabinets at Lowes so it was Hi Ho Hi Ho it's off to Lowes I go, on a Saturday no less. I did remove all the stuff out of the cabinets, remove the under cabinet wiring, removed the cabinets off the wall, went through all the stuff and threw some away, put a pile to give away, and assembled the new cabinets.

Today it is off to the farmers market, hang the cabinets on to the wall then go through the contents of the old cabinets before putting the items back into the cabinets. Next there is a mower jack to assemble and my son's coworker found a saber like sword that he asked me to sharpen. The sword looks like a decent entry level sword that the garage mechanic, at the shop my son works at, tried to sharpen with a grinder, shudder. Plus guitar practice makes for a full day.

    Morning all.
Beautiful cool morning here. Low humidity is refreshing after last week's swamp azz weather.
Had the body mounts on the Nova changed, so it looks like I'll be taking it on a "test drive" and burn up some old gas.:burnrubber:
The car runs so nice in this weather.

Geez,, Dave! Glad you're on the mend.

Racing pics are always welcome!!! Congrats on the great day Mike.

Our Mountains aren't so "mountainy", but it still makes for nice views.

Does the Nova take Espresso? Nice!

I missed the beautiful balloons quote - sorry - that looks like a very fun past time!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! Have to say yesterday was as fun as I remember. Most of the cameras worked, but water crossings are too long to GIF for TW. Have to make some YouTube or something.

Here's some shots of the ride.

Yep; was real dusty just like the real thing. My horse is dirty today. And in perfect concert with the finish - my MAINT light came on. OK, it's time. Then, after leaving Mason on my own - the CHECK ENGINE light comes on! At least my head unit decided to show a car display, with the CHK ENG symbol - so I touched it, and it gave me a code! P101. Great, what do I do with that out here? Google it! Says the MAF sensor isn't operating properly! So, like some dust maybe? I drove the 2 1/2 hours home much happier. I'll fix that up today.
