Life is finally starting to get back to normal. After being stuck at home for over a year, the wife booked some trips!!!
Las Vegas in Sept, and Reno in Oct for the UH/Reno football game. Then hopefully Japan early next year. In between I may sneak off to Molokai, where I was born & raised. Did I ever mention that I hate pineapple? Grew up on a plantation, and picked my share.

We've been talking about the Inside passage up to Alaska. Not sure how open the border is to Canada now, though. I'd like to do some whale watching from a deck chair on a small ship and stop in some small towns along the way.

Think they are going month by month with assessing the border.
I did a double take last week when I saw an Ontario car on I-95.
First I've seen in over a year.

All of you in America have it good, you can just jump in your Tacoma & drive wherever. I have a difficult time driving a hundred miles before I run out of road!
My island America is a lot smaller.

Thanks Dwayne :hattip:. Been doing some stretching exercises at home. We'll see how well they work...Don't know what soft tissue damage he'll find in there so I'm hoping for the best. You know the old saying " If your going to do something do it right". Thats my problem I do it too right.

Thanks Dave. How are you doing with the tick bites? Still on the Meds? Oh, I'll take pictures and post them:D.

Have a good one all. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 AM. No problem for me, but the missus is not to happy having to get up that early.

Tick bite is all good Ken. I'll still finish the doxy course but I am feeling back to full strength already.

    Afternoon all:
Another thoughts and well wishes for you Ken, before long you'll be good as new!

Glad to hear good news on the tick bite Dave, maybe time to start using permethrin on clothing.

Sounds like a wise management decision Mike, I said the same for today, heck with the lawn, I'm going for a ride with my buddy!

I'm really glad that I went with my buddy to look at a boat, we found out that the owner was a former U-2 pilot! I know it doesn't take much to impress me, but never ever in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever be standing face to face with someone who flew the U-2, I definitely have a lot of respect for those guys :oldglory:!
I properly saluted him and thanked him for his service, and he saluted me back, maybe not proper saluting while out of uniform, but I'm sure he understood it was out of respect.

To my knowledge, not a thing wrong with that. Especially amongst Veterans, where it's more a deeper meaningful sign of courtesy and respect, than it is a custom/requirement. I'm positive he understood and appreciated it. :hattip:

We were planning another Alaska cruise up the inside passage but ain’t happening this year. US cruise ships by law must stop in a foreign port. Alaska cruises always stop in a Canadian port for a day. Currently Canada has closed all their ports to cruise ships so for now no Alaska cruises. A lot of small communities in Alaska depend on the revenue from the passengers on the cruise ships. I feel bad because they are suffering without the cruise ships. Here’s the law -
All cruises sailing from the U.S. must stop in Canada or another foreign port due to the Passenger Vessel Services Act (PVSA). Under this act, foreign-flagged ships must visit at least one foreign country during the cruise. A cruise line would face significant penalties for not complying. PVSA came into force in 1886.

And what's the point of going if you can't stop in ports along the way? I mean I like whales and all, but...

Having lived in Spain under both Franco and Juan Carlos I understand why the Basques want independence.

What I don’t understand is blowing up a bus load of primarily women and kids or running an LPG tanker truck into a campground full of families. Then too there was the American officer machine gunned as he left his house one morning.
