Great work on the chair, Mike! I love that color.

We had some hefty storms roll through here last night - lots of rain and wind. Our power flickered off and on a few times but we never lost it. Direct TV was out for awhile too - just spent the evening reading a book. We never watch that much TV anyway.

Temps are supposed to stay in the 60s today. A big change from almost 90 and humid yesterday. Another good day for catching up on the book I'm reading - or I might cut some grass. Retirement decisions are tough!!

Nice finish for the paint project. I love the dark blue color, very professional job.

We are going to Michigan in a few weeks and my SIL wants her wooden deck table sanded and painted. I will take some pictures of the project and try to post via my phone. It will be a great opportunity to teach my son how to use the paint sprayer. Today it is off to the MVA to have my drivers licenses renewed. I tried 3 weeks ago and the line at the MVA went half way around the building. I expect a few hours to get the job done.

Good Morning everyone! Still trying to figure out how much rain that little front brought us. The big body on radar moved West, but we seem to have got some later. Weather station cleared itself, so I am guessing about 0.60" if my memory was correct. And only going to have a high of 89* for one day - WOW! Today looks like a rerun of yesterday, without the travel.

Old deck removed
New slab poured.
Sod work done (I said 2 pallets, SWMBO said 3 pallets; took 2.75pallets of sod)
12' x 14' Pergola from Costco arrived (stuffed into the shop until the kids come over next weekend)
The place is going to look so good I'll never want to move! It's insane to see what neighbors have sold their houses for.

One of the pups came out with me; the other two are exhausted and sleeping. I've put in 10,000 steps today (taking a break).

I need to quit taking a week off; my wife puts me to work!

 

Well, there we go. Ten of the 12 rock bags used , so I have a little spare. And the wife's creeping Gardena where she wanted it .
