You did a very nice job painting those chairs. When the Q-tips get brought out you know your serious.

Yea some spots you could not get at between the slats and cross braces.
So the q tips and wire got down below the slats…

I been a carpenter all my life, all the other stuff I learned by watching/asking other trades. Been using the Q-tip paint brush trick for years, pro painter showed me. Work great for touch up.

Good morning everyone! It's Wednesday for those who still do that work thingy.

It was chilly and rained here all day yesterday. I pretty much just stayed inside and read a book.

Time to cut the grass today - but with the temp at 43 and lots of fog it's going to take some time for the sun to dry the grass so I can cut.

    Enjoy your day!!

 Good Morning Cool Old Dudes and Susan

Yesterday was very nice at the range, with my grandson in the lead, we went through the better part of a brick of 22LR. He definitely wants to do that again before they go back; heck I'll take him once a week. :)
And Stitch now has Bilstein 5100s all around.

Today will start with hopefully a 9AM ammo run to SW, their truck was late so "ammo day" slipped to today.
    :fingerscrossed:
After that I'm not sure, but it probably includes some yard work. :)

    Be well, safe, and happy.

    Respect :oldglory: GBA

Ken, It is good that your getting up and around. The mobility will return slowly. You will be surprised at how much weakness you will have in your repaired knee. How is the pain and the PT going? Be safe all ! Russ

Yes and there are 2 coats of paint on the table, maybe 3. Going to take the Makita rotary, Rupes random orbital and the Bosch palm sanders with me

Ken: Glad you are feeling better and on the rehab path. Get well quickly.

Today is a music lesson and pick the wife's car up from the auto shop. Just an oil change and a once over to be sure there is nothing that needs repair before a trip next weekend. The Avalon is now 4 years old with only 42000 on the clock. Next year will be the big maintenance year with a brake system and cooling system flush. The transmission is a sealed unit, as I understand it and cannot be flushed but I have been wrong before.

Looks like a beautiful day here in the DC area.

When I last had my left knee "reassembled", I used a bicycle to do the rehab. Dunno if I could do those miles these days! In those times, loss of a kneecap was good for 6 months of being immobilized - then they would "break it free" - then three months on the bike. I still have a slight limp - but mobile!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch! Major stuff done until mowing tomorrow (most of you wouldn't call that major!), so it's Putz in the back yard and garage. Going to wire brush down the poolside metal table a bit, and give it the "spring coat" (oops, it got summer), check the umbrella lights, and put up a rain gage. Got to fuss over a dash cam bracket I'm changing too. Woo Woo!

Mostly cloudy is the forecast, but maybe me and the dog can get in the partly drained pool. Wife is still working on the chemical that got out of whack, but I fixed up the drain hoses, so I am done with my part!

    Have a great day all!

Doing the work thing still, turn 61 in a couple weeks. Maybe retire in 4 years I hope, significant other only has about 2 more years to go. We are getting closer. Both of us got layed off at the start of the pandemic thing, laying in bed drinking coffee with my girl every morning was pretty special, we both said we could slip into retirement so easy! But for now I'm blessed to have a job doing something I enjoy.

Good morning folks!! Great news on the progress, Ken!!!

Yesterday was gorgeous - and productive. I picked up some bags of mulch for the areas around our pool, cut some brush down by our big pond, cut the grass around the house and then installed polycarbonate windows in the old small greenhouse to replace the old (some broken) glass windows (leftover sheets we had for the big greenhouse). Then, I crewed a hot air balloon flight and they ended up landing in our upper field...so I used the ATV to tow the balloon down to our driveway where it was easy to deflate and pack it up.

Greenhouse and mower garage are ready for paint. Now I need to figure out when to fit that into the schedule.

More grass to cut today...then some pool time.

 Good Morning Cool Old Dudes and Susan

Scored a couple boxes (50 ct) of 10mm yesterday, so I can take the new RIA 1911 FS to the next range day and give her a dance.

Rest of day was kind of chill; did a little yard work, Kristi made banana bread with kids, and a delicious pot roast with carrots and potatoes for supper.

Today I'm headed to the dealer early to get that front propeller shaft swapped out and hopefully the fuel pump recall as well; got the remedy notice last week. Have an appt for Monday, but my Service Advisor Guy said to bring it in today and he'd get it worked in. Hope so, otherwise I'll be there Monday vs being on our way down Kenai Peninsula and Whiskey Gulch for halibut fishing.
    :fingerscrossed:

This is an awesome pic, 6! :101010:

Picked up the wife's car yesterday. Just and oil change and an inspection. Everything look OK for next weekend trip to West Virginia. Son's truck goes in for an oil change and a tire rotation plus a once over getting it ready for a trip to Michigan in 2 weeks.

Today is guitar practice and recycling some electronics then lunch with my cousins husband, Rich. We try to go out to lunch once a month, gets him out of the house with someone else other than his wife and we usually take 2 to 3 hours for lunch. Today we will go to someplace on the bay, I hope, my turn to pay so he gets to choose the restaurant. Have a great day ladies and gents.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porchies! It's mowing day! Oh boy...... Going to go flush out the truck bed first and do some erranding. I want it nice and hot and humid...

Got all the Putz done yesterday; knobs on a drawer for the wife, rain gage, truck cam, and the table paint! It's already got water spots from watering day! Good for another couple years.

Trek from Kanab to Tropic through the Grand Staircase. We stopped to hike the Willis slot canyon. The road had signs saying they advised 4X4 and specifically "high clearance" vehicles, but there was no place on the entire road where I couldn't have driven a Cadillac.
