Beautiful pics!!! I was in Kanab a couple months ago. There is a huge animal sanctuary there called Best Friends. It’s an awesome place to visit and tour. I believe it’s over a thousand acres. They have over 1600 rescued dogs, cats horses, pot belly pigs and a bunch of other animals all up for adoption. It’s one of the several charities I contribute to annually. They have a very nice pet cemetery called Angels Rest where we have laid to rest some of our 4 legged fur babies. If you’re in the area it’s worth seeing.

    Afternoon all:
    Nice pics. Travlr!

Just got done trimming some low hanging branches in the yard, and brush that was creeping out over my driveway and my access to the back garage, then had to clean up the mess, should be good now for a year or two!

I relearned today that there is never an easy, quick task. Got concerned about catalytic converter theft, so I bought a kit to prevent that. It came yesterday, so I decided to install it. Measured the ground clearance and decided there was not enough room for a drill and 7/16 bit required, so I went to the oil change pit I dug several years ago. The 7/16 holes are for four rivet nuts. I don't have the recommended tool for inserting them, so I used the alternative method. That requires using a bolt with a couple of washers and a couple of larger nuts. The first three went in with few problems. The fourth one turned every time I tried to remove the bolt. I ended up cutting off the head of the bolt with a hacksaw and filing the remainder of the head until the washers and nuts came off. Then the remainder of the bolt came out with no problems. The rest of the installation was easy. What should have been an hour or so took probably 4 or 5. At least he weatherman cooperated. The temperature was about 20 degrees cooler than it has been. We got a bit of much needed rain in the late evening.

LOL Azreb....probably prove it true to myself again this weekend!

Successfully pushing the self propelled mower through the grass takes some sitting and water breaks every 15 minutes when it's 95 / 112! Oddly, still took the same two hour time frame. I chose my errands first, then mow, so once I got done - I'm done!

Was a "lucky pond" day though - 4 blooms. Little yellows didn't bloom at all last year, and the new one has given us some doubles. But, never a double-double!

And Carol got this Lilly of the Nile a bit back, which last week shot out a huge stalk and bud. The bud has been threatening for days, and just now is starting to show - might take a week!

    Happy Birthday Ken.

Start to replace the computer today. First step is a full backup. While that is being done i am going to make a dump run.

The current computer is a mess. There must be 250 files not in folders in the document folder alone. When I told the wife and son all logons will need to be reinputted you would think I started WW3, I want to treat all the old information as archived on a separate 2tb partition on a 4tb drive. Using the other 2tb as a back up drive. This is not going to be a smooth transition.

    Morning all:
    Another HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ken!

    Interesting plant there Kurt.

Looks like there may be some hope, yesterday there were 3 buck and a doe out in the yard. None of the buck appeared to be legal though, they are still in velvet and it looked like one was a small spike, one a small Y, and the other a wide Y with really short brow tines, that one is maybe a possibility!

We were sitting outside enjoying the cool temps last evening and three bucks in velvet ran through the yard about fifty feet from us. They looked healthy. We were as startled as them.

Hot dry days, new sod, not enough water from the well to keep it watered in this heat. Fun times, but rain in the forecast will be much appreciated. Just need to see if I can keep the sod from drying till then. Usually, my wife takes care of watering but she is still under the weather. Got her to her 11:00 AM doctor's appointment only to find it was at 1:00 PM. Typically that is fine as we go for lunch, but she just wanted to go back home and nap. Not good.

So a little humor from my sister this morning was appreciated:

Good Morning Folks. Today was the first day since surgery that I got an excellent night's sleep (almost 10 hour's).
Thank you all for the Birthday wishes. At my age they are greatly appreciated. Churchill #24 on the list fits me LOL. Have a great day all.

Good morning everyone and Happy Birthday, Ken!!!

Just got our internet and phone back after being down for most of 24 hours. A FedEx truck snagged and pulled out a major phone/data line and knocked service out for a pretty substantial area.

Planning on just enjoying this weather today by laying around the pool and then crewing a hot air balloon flight tonight.

Be safe and enjoy the weekend.
