You are awesome. If that happened to me I know I’d get choked up and probably have a tear in my eye. God bless you.

    Good morning everyone!!

Yesterday turned out pretty much as I'd planned. I had to cut/hang two new clothes bars in my mother in law's bedroom closet. Lynn and I knocked out that project and then I retreated to the pool - vacuumed it and then spent the afternoon laying out in the sun like a snake and swimming. I plan on repeating the pool part today.

Lynn and I went out for hot wings and beer last night - it's great to finally get some sense of normalcy after the last 1.5 years.

Might just wash and clean out the truck...or save that for tomorrow. Oh, the choices we have to make in retirement.

Oh, yeah. I just remembered. We are going to get the Pneumovax shot today. Then I'll hit the pool.

    Stay safe!

Showers and T-Storms today and Swamp Azz humidity is kicking in again.
Got the yard work done yesterday as the last two days were nice with low dew points.
Never a fan of humidity, I'm ready for Fall.

My wife is a tenacious fighter. Learning way too many new medical terms. My wife is getting bored but has learned how to transfer to the wheelchair and get around Fred Flinstone style while holding the IV pole with her hand.

My son is having a blast in Colorado. I didn't want him missing our planned road trip, so I handed him the keys to the truck as I am running around in my wife's Honda. I hadn't waterproofed the RSI cap (gap seal), and he has been getting nightly downpours in Colorado, so he's been sleeping in the cab to stay dry. He reports the off-road capability had exceeded expectations; glad I had gotten full skid plates on thy truck when I did as it worked!

The Garmin Overlander has gotten a thumbs up in helping him find camping spots. Our Texas day trip showed my phone overheated when playing the podcast, GAIA running, and trying to charge. So having a dedicated off-road GPS is worthwhile, and not worry about cell coverage.

    Me too!

Another murder in our small town! :(
A guy who used to come over to a gas station and who had limited mentality was killed by his brother, he had problems but seemed to be pretty much harmless and was liked and tolerated by by most who knew him. From people that knew the situation, his brother is a POS and there were other problems with that brother and the mother also, which may have been a contributing factor as to why the brother killed him.
Can only hope the guy rots in jail!

Good Morning Porchies! NO! MORE "real" summer please - it's rained through half of it so far. have convinced the wife that we'll make a day trip with Rex to the Seashore at PINS this week, so time to inventory stuff for said trip. Will take the truck with the Ez-Up, because Rex probably isn't the only one who wants some shade! Won't be me so much!

Glad to hear your wife is practicing Yabba Dabba Doo, Tom! Made some extra Karma for you yesterday!

I promised (OK, threatened) that the photo eye would get it's pic, so here it is. Starting to look like a NASA sensor array up there. And, I put to use some of the duct I bought for the exhaust fans; that didn't work as first intended, but does fine this way.

Some more putz with a stubborn, broken bolt, and the power wash carb, then more pool time. Have a great day all!

Some folks are never happy. First it's I hate snow/cold/rain I want winter gone. Then it's I hate heat/humidity/rain I want summer gone. Me, I just sit here in my 70's/80's on the beach and don't bitch. Well, I do gripe a bit when it drops into the 50's and I need a jacket. But really, in winter when it gets that low I just sit in the spa instead of going to the beach.

Good morning, everyone!! Finally got another hot air balloon flight in last night. It was a great way to end the day.

No big plans for today. Think I'll take in the recycling and wash the truck.
