Yeah, and don’t forget the 80” Sony. It would go great in there.

Are you sure it is TofS and not someone spoofing their number. If it really is, I am friends with their VP of Customer Service. You can PM me the info and I'll pass it on to her.

    Good morning everyone!!

Spent the afternoon and evening sitting on the back porch with a good friend drinking scotch (him) and bourbon(me) catching up on life events and past glory. He and I were ROTC classmates - he retired as a Major General. He lives in Texas now - was born and raised here in NEPA - and it's always a chance to share some laughs and shed some tears for friends and colleagues lost.

    Be safe!

Harry: I hear you on the dealer contact problems. We purchased out 2017 Avalon from Toyota of Bowie, TOB, and I get contacted from time to time by email, phone calls and offer mailings. I do not consider them excessive but the contacts are unnecessary because I am not in the market for a new or used replacement vehicle. As much as I might like to have a newer Tacoma my 2009 just keeps chugging along with no maintenance issues. I do regular servicing of the vehicle paying attention to all the lubricating, power steering, braking and cooling fluids. I have had a few recall items taken care of by TOB but not in a while.

Today is trimming back a few shrubs early then I am going out to lunch with my cousins husband. He has Parkinson but gets around very well. Currently they are living with their daughter and her family due to a lightening hit to the condo they have. I figure he needs a little break and someone else to talk to. We try to go to lunch once a month which is a lot easier now. I like to keep the lunches in the three hour time frame. LOL After lunch I plan to stop by ACE hardware for a propane refill, it helps that I have a $10 off coupon that expires at the end of the month.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals - yesterday got a little out of hand....

I was at AutoNation early for the RAV courtesy service - didn't help. Expected 1 1/2 hours, and that's when the Advisor told me that they broke a wheel stud during rotation. Oh, don't worry, we'll fix it.....:sadviolin: another 1 1/2 hour, and I'm out of there.

By the time I get home, there are now some enormous dark clouds to the East. Radar says with lightning. I estimate I have 15 minutes before I know if it will be safe.

:rain: And 15 minutes later, we get a third of an inch. The white primer (it's water soluble) is half beaten off by the hard rain. The masking tape is still hanging on. The concrete is wet, and I can't put the epoxy on until it dries. Which is just about 5 PM. Remember that 1 1/2 hours I got shorted?

:stirthepot: I mixed the heck out of the whole can of white - leftovers be damned. I am NOT going to screw with the "perfect measure" anymore. I now have two hours to put it on. I get it done by about 6:30. It's already starting to shell where I started. Which is good because...

:rain: The wind came up, umbrellas down, and it started raining again. Checked as I put stuff down, already hard. It can stand getting wet, but I'd have liked a longer window. As it turned out, the storm just fizzled around us, we didn't add any measurable rain, no blowing leaves stuck to anything. And I have a hard candy shell!

Well, the coping is white and rock hard. I'm going to see about the blue tile this morning, and put off mowing until after. I have the whole can of blue, and you can bet I will use that whole can if I use any.

Today could be it, except for clean up..

    Evening all:
I get e mails about giving me $1000 extra for my Tacoma, YEA RIGHT! They don't have any on the lots to replace it and would probably be asking $7,000 more for mine on the lot and have the price jacked up on any new one available from another dealer.

Sounds like the plan is coming together Kurt, hopefully the pool project will turn out OK!

    Good morning everyone!!

Lots of storms here in PA yesterday - all around us but no rain until early this morning. Hope today gives me some more pool time after I put down the linoleum we got for the stable.

Speaking of pools, I hope everything works out Kurt. All that frustration deserves a break!

    Be safe!

They are doing the same thing here.
They give a lowball price for my FJ that is about 10k less than what I can sell it for.

Trimmed back the shrubs out front yesterday morning then lunch with my cousin's husband. Easy day!

Today I am taking my son guitar shopping, this should be fun. Wife and son are off to a concert and I have an evening alone. I expect another easy day.

Supposed to be hot and miserably humid here all weekend. Its 95% humidity this morning and the temps are going to 91 or 92. After working in this crap all week I'm staying in this weekend out of the heat. Might refurbish a vintage singer sewing machine for my Betty. We have many and she uses them all, the girl can sew!

I've got a 3/4 size Stella Harmony in a case for sale in good condition. They go for about $300 without a case. I'd take $100 plus you pay the shipping.

I still don’t have the fire to play it. I built this and and the diddly bow a few years ago.

OK, I did the yard trim, and son ran the mower for me, to save some time.
Finished masking, and had to wait out another slow moving "storm" with lightning..... finally

    Good morning, everyone!!

Lynn and I put the linoleum down in the stable yesterday morning. Seems to work perfectly for what we need - an area to store the beekeeping materials/boxes that is easy to sweep/mop. Now I just need to put in the baseboards.

It was breezy and cloudy all day yesterday. Looks like today will be about the same. No big plans for today.

    Stay safe!!

I always think nope, not gonna clean up leaves until fall. Early spring, lots of rain, wind so everything is already covered. SOP. Foiled again.:annoyed:

Got me thinking beyond fall.. may order a new 100' snow fence. Mine's getting a little ragged, but still works protecting upper driveway from the north wind driven snow.
