Yeah... you're both wrong... but that's pretty common when you haven't met my wife.

Good morning everyone, HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Friday means you need to get any errands run today so you do not have to go out on Saturday. LOL

We made it through the power outage yesterday. The electric company was running late but did the maintenance quickly. Power was back on by 11:30. Need to run a couple of errands today, simple stuff nothing really time consuming.

Tomorrow we drive to Raleigh NC to go to a Luke Combes concert tomorrow night. My brother lives in Cary NC so we are going to meet up for lunch before checking into the hotel. We have to leave early Sunday morning so my son can make it back to his High School to begin the set build for the school's fall play. Lots of driving this weekend.

Curt: The AAL install looks great. Wish I had put one in my 09 Tacoma back when I could actually do the work.

Mark: I like your statement in the video, "I did what was expected from me". If more of us lived by this mindset we would all be better off.

Good Morning Porch! Back to normal - it's mowing day. Was only 66* when I started moving this AM; that tells me our pools days are numbered. No one will get it when it gets past "refreshing!"

Thanks Tom. They do the job of leveling all that weight I put in back nicely. And when shocks finally come, I will be back to a nice, comfy ride!

    Much respect Colonel
I was serving a two week AT at Goose Creek Weapons Station in SC and we happen to be the only DF security force available so we wound up being there nearly a month.
Prayers for all still living with the events of that day....Thank you for sharing this

    Morning all:
Enjoy the day Harry, and don't drink too many of those adult beverages! :D Best wishes to the bride and groom.

Glad to see that there are people willing to restore those old trucks Bob, looks like a fun driver.

Just watching a recap of 9/11, seems like it just happened yesterday but it's been 20 yrs., can only hope that something like that never happens again and will keep it at that!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Enjoy the day Harry - Congratulations to all!

Wow! A 60* start today - probably the end of the pools days as we know them by Mondays rain. Clean the pond pumps, and work on the pool spots while I smoke some ribs today. Making me glad the Horns game is at 6.

Just one quick errand to UPS drop. My cool Tacoma key fob fell apart the other day, so I Amazoned a new, slightly different one. They sent me a Thunderbird fob, with a Tacoma sticker on the bagged box. Returned and reordered. Came yesterday. This time, it was a Ridgeline fob, with a Tacoma sticker on the bagged box. Amazon won't left me try a third time with the idiot vendor, so I ordered what I had. Which is out of stock, and will be "in stock soon!".

Took a beautiful 5.5 mile hike with my wife today...75°F and perfect September weather...saw a hummingbird land on a branch near us while we were taking a break, saw several deer running away from us as we were walking and also saw a baby ring-necked snake (about 3-1/2 inches long, black with a white ring on its neck, go figure). Apparently these snakes are harmless, nocturnal and are rarely seen in the daylight...kinda cool.

EDIT - Oh, and there were lots of big acorns and beechnuts on the ground this year, as contrasted to last year when there were hardly any at all...

For some stupid reason, I have always wanted to have both grills doing a meal for us. Ribs on the smoker, sausage on the gas!
