Happy Birthday and welcome Janice. Pull up a rocker and the beverage station is to your right. There is always coffee in the pot and cold beverages in the cooler. If you enjoy Tea let us know what brand to provide. Oh and post up a pick or two of your Tacoma.

I installed them on my Tacoma, cannot remember the brand but I did need to use pop rivets. They are a nice mod to the Tacoma.

Off to the foot doc for a shot in the foot for arthurites pain. Tomorrow we are off to the Thumb in Michigan to help my SIL get the cottage ready for winter. This will be the second year in a row we have done this, sort of making this a yearly event. Hopefully some grill grates will arrive today so I can take them with us. She has a nice older Weber gasser that I maintain for her. Next summer the burners will be replaced.

Amazon is getting worse with deliveries these last 6 months. The replacement parts should have been here yesterday.

I enjoyed a nice hilly 40 mile ride out near Wimberly, TX. My son Alex was riding with me.

Perfect weather. Lots of good markers/signs to keep us on course. Fantastic police presence at major intersections to keep bicyclists safe and moving.

We raised over $1700 for Alzheimer's Research!

Welcome & Happy Birthday Janice! Good to have you here.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch! Well, no more goofing off. Got some little putz things to fix, and try the greenhouse screen today. Check with my paint guy and figure out a good day to drop if off for him to block it - and show him the antenna "solution"! Discovered that Strip Steaks are not as good to reverse sear as the Rib Eyes - they were a tad thinner, but still tasted great - but now I know how to compensate. Getting better.

Little storm ran though last night, but completely broke right here, leaving us only 1/4". Supposed to have some fall like storms later. Fine. If I can't get in the pool anymore, it can be fall! Have a great week everyone.

Pretty good progress today, the MOST important putz for the wife got done - fix the magnets on the potting table behind the shed.

    Up, up, and.....

    20211011_115517.jpg
    20211011_115532.jpg

awaaaayyyyyy! She'll be happy with that again. After the other putz's, on to the greenhouse.

Velcro; that's the plan. And duct tape frame.

    20211011_133415.jpg
    20211011_151141.jpg

And darn if they didn't send me one roll of velcro with the same sides in the package. So, I did just the back, so I could make my mistakes where no one would notice. Heck, it's hard to tell I even did the work!

    20211011_163002.jpg

So, I'll put off the pond filters until tomorrow. And get back to the screen after the replacement Velcro arrives, and the rain stops.

I miss my ranch. Made the mistake of listing it for sale at too high a price, I thought, and dammit... someone bought it. I miss it.

Doc aspirated another 10cc+ of gunk from my elbow yesterday morning and followed up with a steroid injection and I hope that fixes things because I do not want to do that again. All afternoon sweating in our 74 degree house and I was still wide awake and pacing the floors at 2:30 this morning. Finally dozed for a couple hours and now I’m going to go work a 10 hour day.

Thank you for taking the time to raise money for Alzheimer's. A brutal disease that knows no gender, race or political boundaries.

Did a strip steak roast on Sunday on the EX6. Pic below.

Always nice to see a Tacoma earning it's keep.

Off to the Thumb of Michigan for 8 days to help my SIL winterize the cottage.

Wif and I went for the yearly flu shot yesterday too.......tech gal says next year (or someday) she expects the CV-19 booster will be combined with it. Certainly would reduce the PIA.

Good Morning Porchies! May have to delay the pond filters (oh, darn!) as we have on and off rain, and it looks like it will just keep it up. Oh well, there are inside things to do.
Hope everyone has a great day!

I got my flu shot a few weeks ago at a street fair on Germantown Avenue in Philly. ACME pharmacists were doing them.
Afterward I wondered if that was akin to gas station sushi. No ill effects, though.
