    TY Kurt.

My sister is looking a a 2022 Tacoma TRD sport with 2WD and a 5 ft. bed. Toyota does not offer a trifold bed cover. Can anyone recommend a trifold with a lock?

I have a roll up, so no help. But my neighbor, has a hideaway with a frame all through, that rolls up smaller than I have ever seen. They just took the trailer, so when he gets home, I will look. He rolled it in and out with one finger! Pretty solid when closed, too.

    Evening all:
ALMOST!!!! I took some hair off a buck yesterday, no harm done to him. :annoyed:
After I shot he ran about 30yds and stopped seemingly with no clue as to what happened, wanted to grunt but that wasn't a good idea since the bow wasn't cocked and ready, cocked the bow and the instant he heard the metallic sound of the latch clicking closed he blew/wheezed and took off. I found the arrow and there was no sign of a pass through, but some hair was stuck on the blades and the band that holds them closed, the arrow was clean otherwise.

Good morning. Rained all day yesterday at a pretty good rate. We have not had a day long rain in our area for about 2 months. Dark and dreary made me tired all day. I need a good day today. My abdominal area is sore due to all the coughing and wheezing. We need to remove all the leaves from the top of the pond netting today. Other than that I am not doing much else.

:pccoffee:  We had another strong storm come through yesterday. On the national radar map it sure looked like a hurricane, one that got out over land and spread itself out. We had extremely high winds in the evening, stood in the windows watching the poor dead ash trees across the road snap in half. Quite a show. Did some cleanup this morning, enough that we can drive in and out without crunching up tree branches anyway. More yard cleanup tomorrow. Yay.

Wonder if a French drain will help. LOL

Good morning everyone. I hope your favorite team won yesterday and the team you like to dislike lost.

If anyone on this forum ordered their Tacoma is the process about two months long during normal times? In these pandemic times all bets are off.

:pccoffee:  porch folk! We had another strong storm come through Friday, second one this week. The winds were extremely high along with the rain. Not a terrible amount of total precipitation but the winds caused a lot of havoc. We stood in our living room and watched the dead ash trees across the road snap in half. It was quite a sight. I'm really, really glad we had the ash trees on our property taken down last winter. Would have been a nightmare otherwise.

Sad to see all the Ash trees gone.
Didn't take all that long once the genie got out of the disease/ non-native insect bottle.
They made up a good chunk of the native hardwoods here.
They were always my first choice when I used to use a climber for a deer stand. Oak was 2nd choice.

    Good morning fellow Porchies!!

Lynn and I made the cross-State trip to Pittsburgh to meet up with my sister, brother-in-law and two friends on Friday and got back yesterday afternoon. We had a great time. Lots of laughs, good food, good beer and a little bourbon, too.

    Life is good!!

Good morning everyone. We had more Trick or Treater's last night than we usually have. The children had a few unique costumes and the creativity showed. Seems like the event happens earlier in the evening every year, which is a good thing.

Yesterday was a beautifully sunny fall morning, the sun really lit up the trees fall color. So I admired that beauty with a cup of coffee before I mowed the lawn and mulched up some leaves.
This is the tree across the street, what I see when I look out my front window.
    20211031_123440.jpg
This is the tree in my backyard, I planted it 8 years ago.
    20211031_123513.jpg
Then I finished my garage up for the season by installing the soffit vents.
I started with the old 1/2" craftsman drill on the bottom, but it has way to much torque to use a 4" holesaw. If it catches it'll snap your wrist, so I switched to the Bosch hammer drill and turned the hammer off. Much easier to handle.
    20211031_150303.jpg
    Drilled 16 4" holes.
    20211031_155527.jpg
16 cores replaced with 16 vents.
    20211031_160006.jpg
All done. I might put 2 screws in each one later if needed, but they fit pretty snug.
    20211031_152750.jpg
This completes phase 1 of the garage restore, roof and trim is done, next will be replace the windows and reframe the opening, then scrape and paint it all in the spring/summer.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch! We've now gone a complete decade without a Trick or Treater. So, I have candy bars!

Back to the firewood project and greenhouse walls - better hurry on that one! They'll be announcing a freeze before I know it. This winter, all the automatic watering is disconnected and drained - just going to use a hose!

Yay for finished projects, and beautiful trees Greg. We don't get that color around here much.

Speaking of the Ash's; our Arizona Ash were cut to make way for the solar - 35 year old developer tree. Infested with boring beetles, that according to our Ag here in town "we don't have those". Spores and mushrooms growing out, holes clean through. All the rest on the street are now the same, but no one is cutting them - large branches regularly down in any wind storm.

Sounds like a nice trip was had Mark.

Still searching for that fireplace insert & installer - got a place to try this week.

Yeah it's sad about the ash trees. Michigan is now wiped out oborders. The cities cut down every tree along the roadways and just chipped it, what a waste! The borer is only between the bark and the wood in the cambium layer, once the bark is removed the lumber is insect free and safe to use. When it first hit I grabbed as much of it as I could and milled it for lumber. I'll be starting a new wood workers workbench with some I have stashed just for this project. It was a beautiful and useful wood. There's no stopping the borers. Such a shame.

Truly a waste to chip that fine wood, and especially when the trees are dying out. Some future woodworker would love to have it.

Can't wait to see your bench take form. Please post pics.
