OK, baby steps. Not that I'm paranoid, but yes I am.
Discover I can check the wheel to drum seating through the holes, that's good. Check the lugs with a cross wrench.
Went around the block. Home & check lugs.
Went downtown to AutoZone. Home & check lugs. Check shock marking.
Went to Lowe's in Kyle. Wind was gusting, and I stopped on the way because. Got to Lowe's, check the lugs. Check shock markings.
Made it home. Check the lugs. Check the Shock markings.
Right about now, I can hear my friend Brandon asking "but, did you die?"
No, I did not. But I needed a two hour tension nap. Now, my confidence is almost back.

@tandemgeek that's quite the collection of bikes you have there. I tinker with bikes and rebuild them. Mostly vintage bikes like old schwinns from the 50s and 60s. I do have a schwinn tandem too, the last year they made it with 1 3/4 tires, it has the rear drum brake of the day.

    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!

11F and dropping here this morning with a light coating of snow. We had enough sun yesterday to melt Sunday's ice coating on the driveway by early afternoon. We're supposed to have steady winds today that will keep the wind chill in single digits or below 0. A good day to stay inside.

We have drains in each of our garage bays and had water there, too. We opted not to put any heat in the garage and our temps stay below freezing so consistently here that I could never really use it. Touchless car washes for my truck in winter.

    Stay safe out there!

12° about 4:30am. Usually gets colder right before sunrise. Hope it warms a bit, I have a checkup at 11:00am. Already looked at my blood test numbers, good to go. So script refills, bp check, etc. Been watching my wife's BP med, the only one she can take is expensive, and finally there is a generic. That will save us 500 every 90 days.

I have noticed the same thing happening with C19. I hope it is just people getting lax about washing hands, masking up, and cleaning the handles of shopping carts.

Happens to a lot of guys and their hobbies. Happened to me with the guitar or it could have been the service or a combination of both. Sometimes work get is the way too.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Cold is setting in here in the DC area yesterday. 23 degrees in the backyard this morning.

I completely get this, I had clunkers & wheezers my entire life. They were just cheap old cars and trucks of opportunity, something that I could fix up and drive for a low cost. I took care of them and they gave me good service.

I bought the Tacoma just because it looked cool and I wanted it, a retirement present to me.

It is the only vehicle I ever picked out the color --
-- and also the only vehicle I ever made payments on...:pout:
My daily is an old van I paid $1200 for, some have called me cheap -- I prefer thrifty... :anonymous:

Typical windspeed at our house on Casper mountain was about 30........ didn't matter which month we talk about. Had to build a three sided "pulpit" wind block in order to use the barbecue grill! By comparison, southern AZ is unusually still (but 70º yesterday and 35 mph gusts).

It got down to 5 and now back to 8F here right now but with the wind it is still a sub-zero wind chill. No mowing for me today! :D

I ended up going a similar route to be able to stream music in our house and out on the back porch. We have in-wall speakers in the Great Room, master bedroom and downstairs in the TV room. I've been running an old combo CD/Cassette/AM/FM system but it had no bluetooth capability. Then, the 5 CD tray jammed up and would no longer work. So, it was time for a change. With all the speakers, I wanted to get a bit more power and found this mini system on Amazon for $70. 8" wide and 5 1/2" deep. I hooked it up this morning and it works like a champ. Score!! Thanks for the examples/suggestions!!

    Morning all:
Hate to be a quitter, but I think it's time to quit hunting for the season. The couple inches of snow we got is now ice coated and super crunchy, we won't get nowhere near any deer if still hunting and I doubt they will be moving much on their own :annoyed: Would like to see my buddy get a deer, but it looks like he odds are stacked against him for the remainder of the flinlock season, oh well, hopefully next season will go better for him. I'm glad I got what I did, at least he has venison in the freezer, next year it may be his turn to save out butt.:fingerscrossed:

I watched the game Mark, not the greatest game but like you stated, it was interesting, both seemed like good teams and good defenses make for games like that.
Hopefully those with covid will be fine, my one buddy and his wife recently both had it, he had a rough 8 days or so, his wife not so much, but both came out of it and are OK.

Mowing and trimming my yard didn't make it look like that. Mowing and trimming is faster than plumbing.

Two 1/2 hours for removal of the old one. Plastic was welded to cast iron, because someone had to have cast iron sink. One half hour install.

    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!

We've made it to day 6 with no COVID symptoms so it looks like all 3 of us have beaten the possible exposure from last week. Lynn's Mom's aid is recovering but, in the meantime, Lynn has been doing the daily care for her mom. She's ready for a break.

Stay safe out there. Our temps are actually supposed to go above freezing today and tomorrow. Balmy!

Nice choice! accepts SD and USB drive FTW!

You will like the faucet. We have a similar one in our kitchen. The weak link is the hose going to the nozzle. The hose on our fixture developed a leak, hose failure, after two years. East enough to replace but there is a mess under the sink. When I fixed the problem, I installed a drip pan, plastic bucket, and a water sensor in the bucket.

Have a great day everyone. down to 20 degrees in the northern DC area this morning.
