Congrats Tom. The 4 runner is on my short list of vehicles to replace my Tacoma in the next few years.

Kurt: Sorry you had to purchase new wheels. They do look nice on your Tacoma.

Not bad only 3 years old and low mileage.

    Looks great.

Taking my first 1 on 1 music lesson. I really need help with barre chords. My fingers do not do what my brain tells them to do. Old age again.

    Cooking ribs today.

Stay warm up there in Maine. The cold weather is back here in MD but snow this weekend might not happen.

4° this morning. The county was out plowing ice off the road last night.. clear ice on everything. Looks like the road is usable now, but we're not going anywhere. I'll set out a few safety cones at the road to block the driveway. You can't see the ice before you're on it, and we have two deliveries coming today. If a driver turns in as fast as usual, they'll be down the hill and in the creek. Looks like a good day to sit it out by the fire.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porchites! Cracking me up this morning for some reason. Guess I'll be spending the next couple weeks learning to hear all over again. I can hear this keyboard, the mini-split isn't as silent as it used to be, and it goes on....man, tech has changed!

I'm convinced I will love these wheels just fine. I had kind of wondered what they'd think of the damaged wheel from the lug fiasco; should have known. They really did me a favor though - I spent way more than that mentally shopping that night on-line! So, call it a good deal, and safe to go again!

Wife wanted to clean up dead stuff in the back, but she seems to have forgotten that, and is running to Hobby Lobby. Well, it'll be warmer Saturday anyway. I'll go putz on the truck. Have a great one everyone!

    Congrats!

Been playing around on the Toyota site building a few configurations of the Off Road sub-model.

Trade in value on my low miles FJC is insane right now and would cover the majority of the cost of a new T4R.

But I did get a new ebike to play with until it warms up and I can ride it.
    Snow day delivery.
    20220124_135931.jpg
I brought it down to my nice warm basement wood shop to assemble it.
    20220124_140530.jpg
Like Christmas when you first open the box.
    20220124_142013.jpg
Out of the box and time to assemble.
    20220124_144940.jpg
All done and I added a tank bag to carry some tools and stuff.
    20220124_162112.jpg
Kind of a cool retro moped look. But it is a seven speed class 2 ebike.
    20220124_162147.jpg
Modifications to make it mine start this weekend.

Nah, lol, just better tires, and a little higher handlebars so I'm not so bent over. This bike is mainly going to be a commuter back and forth to work and then for some weekend fun. So it will also be getting the obligatory matching black milk crate to carry my work stuff.

:oops::oops::oops::oops: i cannot blame coffee so it must have been one on my many senior moments. Sorry.

Today is a quick food store trip and a recycling Styrofoam trip. Not a lot planned but that is OK. Going to work on a few financial items, documentation of how our home runs and how I pay bills. It was a balmy 15 degrees and sunny here this morning.

Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Well, I did something to my back, so it's been a little slow. Some heat and massage is helping. Dr. Internet thinks is possible that I spent too much time watching those great games last weekend, after being pretty active before. Since that's when it started, and there supposedly aren't any organs there, I'll follow this before calling on the real Doc. Finally finished the little button LED on the back plate (think motorcycle plate lights), because the plate now sticks out past what the normal lights illuminate, and now I have the letter of the law covered. Fixed my little DRL grill LEDs too, as a wire came loose. Some other putz, and that was it.

Supposed to be another cool and sunny day, so going to load Rex up in his cushion and harness I got for my birthday, and take him to Walgreens drive through in the truck! He's a funny co-pilot. He's only been in the back once, and he likes to perch on the console. Should be fun. Got to go to San Marcos and pick up the pool cleaner head. Maybe fill the back with bags of Cypress mulch at Lowe's. That should fill the day...

Black was never an option for the wheels! I'd be driving on the spare if that's all they had.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Totally agree -I got especially tired of the dark wheel trend right after I got my 17 Taco with the dark wheels I asked for on my order. I would look at the truck and think "theres something I disliked?". Dawned on me it was the wheels -I went to a couple of dealers and found a set of the 4runner off road wheels (new takeoffs) I sold the dark OEM ones almost as quick as I listed them - with the firestones. I think the deal cost me about $50 difference including new tires. The original set had 8k on them.
Liked my truck better ever since.

I guess I should be ashamed to admit it but I got the black TRW wheels on my 2019 off the lot and I like them. Changed the lug nuts to black, too. Each to their own, I guess.
