    Welcome to the thread

I checked the website and the 75 ft has been replaced by an 82 ft model. Going to buy one next month. After a better investigation it seems this company is not in business anymore. I will find one this month.

Rested up and ready to go. Working on making all my phone apps work properly today and purchasing eye drops for my eyes. Going to see the Oak Ridge Boys tonight.

If USPS (US Postal Service) delivered, file a complaint with the Post Office.

When packages go through, they have some fancy scanners/photos taken of the package. So they know where and when something happened. You never want to mess with Postal Inspectors. Sharp teeth and federal time. Ouch.

We have a warm sunny 60F day. My Golden Retriever joined me for a short walk, but not up to the long walk. So I did the pony express, got her back home, and harnessed up the next doggy who was full of energy and got in a second walk for this morning. Fast pace, so she kept my HR up there!

Getting ready for "bike night" next week at the CoTA (Circuit of the Americas) race track.

Loved the back story about Pete Brock and Datsun. I owned a 1967 Datsun 2000. Early, low windshield Solex version. Go-kart on wheels. The only challenge was keeping the front end on the ground as it lifted, resulting in light steering. The trick was to brake early to get the front end down before any turns! Sold it 20 years ago, still miss it! Photo of my son and me on the cover of a 1992 Newsletter. Photo of my and my son reading the same newsletter 30 years later. He turns 32 this month (where did the time go).

    Afternoon all:
Maybe not a gem, and could be a make or break investment, RIVN!
I've been watching it for awhile, and at this stage of the game I don't feel like taking the risk.
I just got back into PPL at a price I felt comfortable with, last time I had it it was paying over 6%, since then they have cut the dividend to just over 3% :(, but 3% is better than NOTHING and there may be a few $$$$$ to be made from capital gains down the road. :fingerscrossed:

Hard to like RIVN. If they have any kind of success as fuel prices rise they might turn things around.

It looks like PPL is the safer bet and could be due.

I've been watching IEP. If it hits 50 I'll be buying.

I'm rooting for CMCSA to hit the 60 target a lot of folks seem to have for it, but mostly because I worked for them and they gave me a boatload of stocks and options. It's funny -- when it was (briefly) over 60 I gave a coworker a tutorial on what all those option thingies were that he kept getting; he is younger, 2 new babies and mortgage and all the rest, and after I explained how to use them, he did. Same day! He exercised those things at what will possibly be the best moment in 5 years on either side of the date he did it. Amazing. But did I exercise mine? :anonymous:

That's interesting, I've been in the market for over 50 years and don't remember ever seeing that stock mentioned. I know of Carl Icahn and have heard his name many times but not that company, almost everything is about Warren Buffet and Berkshire Hathaway, which still may be cheap at current levels! o_O

Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!! Most of Wednesday's snow melted yesterday and the rest should go today. Just in time for the projected 3-5" were supposed to get on Saturday. One more chance to run the snow blower.

    Stay safe!

Cold and light snow covering yesterday, then sun most of the day cleaned it up. Another grocery run today, since Sunday weather doesn't look good. Chased a big male racoon off the deck an hour ago. Spring has sprung.
I'll set up my traps at first light. :annoyed:

Wish I had put 10K in BH back in the 60's LOL. Good morning Carl.

We saw the Oak Ridge Boys last night at the Birchmere in VA. Great performance by guys in our age group.

Going to put the Tacoma to work today and pick up a truckload of mulch. Replacing mulch in the front of the house on Sunday. Easier to pick up the mulch today rather than tomorrow, if you know what I mean. It is that time of the year.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Peoples! 45* and dropping in that wind this morning. Our bill for that 75* yesterday. Good day to sit inside and plot other projects. A truck item I'd been waiting for since November will suddenly arrive this weekend. That's a project that requires another little order, but I think I'm going to wait just a bit so they don't sit waiting for me!

Loved that story @roundrocktom ! I almost went SCCA racing, but truth is I was too poor anyway. Long ago, working sound in a nightclub, and one of my best friends ran South Bend Auto Part (junkyard). I'd met him scrounging parts for my '53 Chevy Sedan Delivery, and my '54 F-100. (Too poor to ever finish them). But, we liked to bench hot rod, and one day, he had a little Fiat 124 come in - and it looked pretty cherry! We got all excited about fixing up the motor, throwing a little roll bar on it, and hitting the cones out at the airport! Great plan. Didn't last long. He went to move it from the drop yard to the garage, picked it up with a fork lift, and the darn thing split in half and fell off! Totally rusted frame. Oh well....

How did I not see this forum, maybe time for new glasses.

Topped off the Taco yesterday, kid maybe in his 30's comes over and wants to buy my truck. He soon realized that will never happen.

    Good Morning 60+ers

    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!!

And welcome to the crowd @OldTacoDD !!! Lots of great folks here. Pull up a chair...just don't sit in Mike's recliner!!!!:eek: Oh, and new folks have to fill the cooler.:rofl: Tells us a little about yourself!

We are awaiting the projected Snowmageddon - temperature is dropping quickly. It was 42 30 minutes ago and I felt a few rain drops when I walked the dogs. Now it's 38 and dropping. Weather Channel is saying we're in for 5-9" of snow starting around 7AM. The good news is that temps for next week are in the 40s and 50s so whatever we get will be gone quickly. I guess I'm going to get to use the new snowblower and the UTV plow one more time..at least.

Dentist appointment yesterday - no issues. We switched to a Sonicare toothbrush years ago - what a difference that made in the semi-annual cleanings. I used to dread them, now it's an easy process.

I need to complete my project to hard-wire the new Course Motorsports Autogrip Charging Head on the truck. Been assembling the stuff I need and have the extension/power hook-up made. I just need to pull the console apart and hook it up. I just don't enjoy doing it when the garage temps are in the 40s...so I'll probably wait until next week.

    Stay safe out there!!!
