    Thanks!

My father always say " It's not something he's proud of but it was his job".

As kids we don't ask question. We watched him deal with PTSD. It was hard.

The number of Vets that suffered/are struggling with PTSD breaks my heart.

The 4th July was hard to watch.

This one person I know that has PTSD. She can't be in crowded area without getting creep out. She is on a lot of meds to help her forget what she saw in the war far East. She watched people get blown up from land mine. Being a medic, she dealt with burn victim, amputee, and so on. She is really misunderstood.

I tried to help her as much as I can. With me joking all the time I got her to relax, to the point where she stop taking her meds. The downside is when I wasn't there she goes on a rage. All she has to do is hear my voice she will calm down instantly. People commented on how mellow she get when she hear my voice. In the long run, she went back on meds, but the meds are messing with her mind but she is calmer now.

The meds are good at one thing but bad at another.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Maybe, I stick with the list today! Have a few more simple choices to work with. Heart Dr. check in tomorrow morning.

Susan, you can leave with a smirk, knowing full well that you can't be replaced with just one normal person!

Tom, glad to hear the eye progresses well.

Rob, have a fun trip up mountain!

:pccoffee:  Been laying low for a little while, zero incentive and digestive tract is mildly unhappy for some reason. Feeling a little better today. I'll head out to the garage and see how it goes.
Sorry to hear it! I'm heading to that vicinity next week to romp with the Schuh Syndikat for a couple of days. I have a Z4 coupe, not a 'clown shoe', but they let me tag along.

My garage workbench goes through that transformation every time I try to do anything, except in the opposite direction! Seriously, nice job. I got a few of those milk crates to replace cardboard boxes, probably should get a few more.

We leave our waterfall running all winter. I do take the guts out of the filter though. The advantage is that moving water is much less likely to freeze, and it keeps a hole open in the surface of the pond which is important for letting gases escape over the winter.

    Great news!

Susan, I'm not sure I could do what you're doing unless I was working under contract and collecting con$ulting fee$. You want me back? Better get yer wallet out... :spending:

I picked up those industrial crates from work, just before I left. They had thousands to get rid of - the large were $3, and the small $2. I figured long term, if I could just get stuff organized into them, eventually, I can weed things out. EVERYTHING in there is on wheels, except the wall counter! I should have it back in shape, around 2024 or so!

Good Morning Lisa...Kinda thought a hammer emoji would be helpful in stopping a thread or two from getting on the verge of a BAN. Like the first one with STOP on the top. Sometimes I find myself putting my fingers to the keyboard before my brain catches up. Several older posts were on the edge but everyone put it to bed before the hammer dropped. So what do you think?

Glad all is going well with the eye Tom. for continued good progress.

An Emoji would have been been nice here..:)o_O[IMG]

5'10 1/2" used to be 5' 11" but shrunk from age.

Respect and God Bless your Pop Kevin. Many Vets didn't like to talk about what they went through. I have much respect for all who served. :oldglory:

I pray your friend stays strong with your help Kevin. PTSD is a terrible illness affecting many Vets and it took many years before it was recognized as a major problem. I have a friend who was a River Rat, like a founding member of the this thread (river rat 69 / Jim), and his boat was shot out from under him. Physically he survived but it took many years for him to get back to a somewhat normal life. But if there was a loud sudden noise or a car backfire he would cringe. So sad to see. But he is surviving as so many try to do in their everyday life.

Hi Rob my friend. Have a great day.
