First mow this season, yesterday. A little later than I like, had to replace a couple mower parts. Not a big deal. They ship small parts USPS, but arrived as fast as anything else, and the price did not go up.. unusual. Mower started right up, ran perfect, after leaving stabilized gas in, and a maintenance charger on it all winter. Yesterday was a good day to mow. Taller grass was dry from light N. winds, I walked the property the day before, removing debris along the road, tree lines, blow downs, etc. Wife says I should hire mowing done at my age. Amish would do it cheap. I would give them more than they ask, when that time comes. Each year's first mow is a test for me. sfsg.

I looked at the Ray Ban's and still might get a pair for dusk to dawn driving but with a copper lens. I hope you sprung for glass and not polycarbonate lenses. Everything I have read states the glass lens is clearer. Polarization is good and seems to be recommended for all sunglasses. The only thing to watch out for might be the inability to read certain digital displays in vehicles. My research led me to Costa Sunglasses for superior polarization and lens quality. Both Costa and Ray Ban are owned by the same parent company, Luxottica, which also owns Oakly and Sunglass Hut. Hard to go wrong with Ray Ban's, they have been around for a long time. Link to glasses I purchased: Mag Bay Polarized Sunglasses in Blue Mirror | Costa Del Mar®

We like Better Call Saul. My son will wait till the season is finished then binge watch them all over a few days. When we were in Alburquerque a few years back one of the things we did was take his picture in front of Saul's law office.

Today is raising and leveling the front edge of the awning. Not difficult but it takes two persons to do it. Going to spatchcock a chicken and cook it on the smoker for dinner tonight. Everyone wants pancakes for breakfast this morning. No eating or drink after dinner tonight, cataract surgery on the left eye tomorrow morning. Everyone have a great Sunday.

Is Polycarbonate safer? More impact resistance.

If the user has a active lifestyle, job. Broken glass can get into the user eyes.

Polycarbonate are lighter lenses but they do scratch easier. Knowing that you just need to be extra careful. My prescription glasses were polycarbonate with an anti scratch coating. Always use a soft microfiber cloth to clean the glasses. Never use your t-shirt or tissue paper. Both will scratch the lenses. Enjoy, I have always wanted a pair of Ray Ban aviator sunglasses.

One way to find out. :smash:

Is guess reading glasses where glass lenses will be a popular choice.

I don't know first hand comparing glass to polycarbonate lenses.

Yes they are safer, polycarbonate lenses, unless you have actual safety glass lenses. My lifestyle is not so active anymore, but I went with glass for clarity.

You do bring up a valid safety concern. I was always taught to use tools at the shoulder level not the head level to minimize the chance of a tool slipping and poking me in the eye. When using a chisel on rock I wear a face shield. I cut rock to fit for various projects around the yard. A lot cheaper than renting a wet saw.

I have had both, for prescription glasses, and if you take care of the polycarbonate lenses you should not have a problem.

I'm writing from an inexperimence stand point.

To make lenses safety glass, Do they add plastic layer in the glass?

If yes, Won't it just be better just to get polycarbonate lenses?

I read that put a protective film of some sort on the polycarbonate lenses. Maybe something they use a smart phones.

I wonder if Gorilla Glass will be a good option to make lenses from.

    Good morning, Rob!!!

We got the flight in this morning. It was an engagement flight. After launch, Lynn and I raced ahead to get in front of the balloon so we had time to unfurl a banner that read "Will You Marry Me?" as the pilot let the balloon descend so they could read it as the flew over. Liz's first words were "You asshole." and then she said "Yes!" :D:rofl: We launched from a local State Park and the winds carried them to a landing at a local small private airfield so we were able to deflate and pack using one of the access drives and keep the envelope dry which meant we didn't need to get out the bastard Big Blue Tarp.
