Gas at Costco on Friday was $4.32 a gallon.

Welcome to the porch. Have a seat but stay off the rocker. Mike does not like anyone sitting in his spot.

The vegetable garden was weeded and all available plants were planted yesterday. I still need to pick up 2 tomato plants, a Jalapeno and sweet Banana pepper plants, and a Sweet Basil plant.

I need to order a retractable garden water hose today. I think I have a drip irrigation system figured out but I will wait to install the hose reel first. Everyone have a Manic Monday.

    Good morning all!
Enjoyed reading everyone’s retirement and planned retirement stories. Still working part time in semi-retirement but typically working a few more hours than my planned 2 days a week, not too bad though.
I’m a Canes fan, hockey fan so been watching a lot of the playoff games, and also the Braves are my bb team so watching them on occasion. Retirement hobbies lol.

I spent Friday with my wife at the hospital. Infected PICC Line, so time to swap it to another arm.

Sunday, My son stopped by and we got on a bike ride.

He jumped on my Catrike 700 while I was in the Velomobile.

I still need a YABBA DABBA DOO sticker for the side of the Velo or a big "It's a grown-ups PEDAL CAR."

My wife got me a new T-Shirt that explains helps explain it. She told me to smile, took the photo, and
my comment was I thought I smiled, but not a clue what that expression was! More challenging time controlling facial
muscles. I passed my annual driving test, but she is figuring out why I enjoy the pedal car as I'll
still have wheels on those 35F rainy days!

    Until your wife catches you!

    Expensive hobby, too!

Back in 2005, my wife spent three months in ICU. We had a ton of bills and huge "out of pocket" expenses. Over 1.2 million in billing, but only had to cover $200,000 out of pocket. Oh boy.

So we were sitting back and talking, and she was, "you would have been so much better off had I died. You'd have an insurance payout to pay off the house and not be dealing with all these bills. I explained I would have lost everything. Probably in bars, picking up a blond stripper who would have married me and taken me to the cleaners getting the house, leaving me to live under an overpass with my faithful dog.

Her comment, "Blond, why a Blond?" I was in the dog house. :)

Utterly amazed she is still me. Fiesty as ever, but her body is still having a hard time of it.

Haha yes, when I met my wife my chasing days ended. We walked into a shoe store at the mall years ago and a young sales girl was bent over in a short dress, wife said “don’t even think about walking down that isle” lol.
Harsh woman, even refused to let me bring a date to our wedding. :D

    Morning all:

An infected PICC line does not sound like something anyone would want, hopefully all will be OK for the wife Tom.
$200K out of pocket , and others don't need to pay anything, oh well, somebody has to pay!

Welcome to the porch Red Mud, fill up the cooler and pull up a chair.

Yesterday was a trimming day, got most of it done but need to get down by the pond where it's too wet to mow and now we are supposed to get heavy rain today.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Made it through a day of just honest Putz yesterday, and a quick errand before I find out what future the Jury Summons holds for me today. Lousy pic, but at least it was just at bedtime for the eclipse, so we got to see it.

Ha! I got a Christmas card from an old girlfriend after my future wife moved in with me. She got real serious... fast. I'd never seen a women get jealous over me before, so I was kind of complimented. And she has no issues with me looking as long as I don't flirt.

    I married up.

Huzzah & Hurrah! Civic Duty performed. One case dropped, the other settled while we waited.

Think I'll grab a , and head for the pool with the dog until the wife gets back from her turn at an Imaging procedure. No point in working on stuff, the way I see it! :proposetoast:
