Thanks for the link! He seems to be pretty thorough. I'm building a TP-Link Omada system, which at the moment does not include any cameras. It's a small business networking suite of equipment, pretty inexpensive for the features. A little bit overkill for home use but it's in the same price range as consumer stuff and gives me more flexibility. https://www.tp-link.com/us/omada-sdn/

I see that TP-Link has bought or partnered with Kasa, so there are consumer products with the TP-Link name now. They also make business class security systems, but they don't tie in with Omada -- yet. If/when they do that could be pretty attractive. Still, it's a local system with no ties to centralized monitoring. I think I'd rather pay a small amount to have someone else staring at screens all day besides me. ;)

Earned income is income derived from working for yourself or someone else. Pension income is not earned income. You really really need to talk to a cpa or financial planner who has expertise in retirement planning. If you get this stuff wrong it could irrevocably screw up your retirement income and benefits. I do not get why many are so hesitant to consult with financial planners. They are so much more knowledgeable about finances and retirement than anyone on the forum. If you don’t like what they say , you pay a small fee and just walk away.
I have way more retirement income and benefits than I ever imagined thanks to my financial consultant. I could have done it myself but would have been worse off without his expertise and advice. Even with the poor economy and the nasdaq being down 30% this year, and the S&P 500 down 20% and the DJ down 15%, my portfolio is down less than 2%. And I’m making money in some areas. That certainly wouldn’t be the case if not for a great financial adviser.

I haven’t been to a game in over 2 years. I love spending a day at the park. I’m a Giants fan but because I was born and raised in Oakland the A’s are my team.
The River Cats the Giants AAA minor league team play not too far from me and I enjoy seeing them a couple times a year.
Oh by the way when I was young I use to go see the Giants play with my mom when such greats as Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Juan Marichal, and many others played. Awesome memories.

When I had to drive that semi downtown I practiced for n the candlestick parking lot till I felt confident enough to go on the streets. I grew up 4 blocks from Juan Marichal and played with his oldest daughter on the hide and seek tour of Joost street…..

Braves fan all my life, went to several games in Atlanta in my younger years but still watch every game I can on cable. When hockey season rolls around it’s the Carolina Hurricanes. covers the year in sports for me with a game or two watching the Panthers football lol.

I too love hockey. I of course am a sharks fan. I find hockey a fast moving exciting game. I enjoy it more than football.

Another 60 something here who just bought his first Taco. Just a big kid with wrinkles who enjoys mountain biking and kayaking. I got tired of putting toys on the roof of an SUV after exercising.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! If I don't have Mondays, what is another one doing here? Think I need to spend less time outside in this heat for a bit, so probably need to "temper" my putz somewhat. Run an errand, water the pots, and clean the pond filters. Any spare energy will go to the garage, but I have all week for that - so bit by bit will work.
Oh, and check on the MasterBuilt smoker control. Went to reverse sear some chops yesterday, and the fan didn't seem to start. So, unplugged it, plugged it in and I swear the display said "nOOO" before it went blank. At 102* still, too hot to mess with it, so just did them on the gas grill.
