Well I just ordered oil for this winter. 5.18 per gallon. Jeez how will people survive? I rolled the dice and won’t wait till fall. I have a feeling we are going to have heating oil prices through the roof. Rant over

You just made me feel better, I thought the $4.499 a gal. I just paid was way too much, right now it's $4.399 from my supplier, wonder why it's 78c more a gal. in your area. I saw fuel trucks at houses when the price was $5.899, that's even worse yet!
It's not just one basic need going through the roof, it's everything, and I'm sure there are those who can no longer make ends meet no matter how hard they try! If the statistics are correct, they are saying it is costing the average family around $400-$500 a month more right now to live due to inflation!

 Looks like I'm screwed!

Intense lightning woke me up last night. No thunder, rain, wind, nada. This has been one strange weather summer. Got half the property mowed yesterday. Too hot to finish, 90°+. Cleaned up the mower, put it away for now. I need to watch the heat. Sometimes I focus on what I'm doing, forget I'm an old geezer, look up, wife will be standing on the porch looking at me. I know she's thinking it's break time. She also knows if I stop, it won't be just a break from the heat, I'll quit for the day. Smart girl.

Today I will be dealing with the remnants of a tree limb that came down. Son cut it up yesterday, wife and I will get it ready today, for yard waste pick up next week. I am sure that will take it's toll on me today.

Dang! That's how hot it was in my garage attic yesterday, not outside in the yard!

I was up there doing prep work for my WiFi redux. Drilled a hole through the ceiling and dropped an ethernet cable through it. Access points arrived yesterday, now I'm off to hang one of them in the garage before it gets crazy hot up there again. I know you're all on the edge of your rockers with anticipation!. I'll take pics.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! Never got to the mower wheels, delays and bad shopping everywhere. Headache required a nap. Did water plants. Mowing this morning, yay! Then I will have a wheel party.
Wife got bad news on the foot - ultrasound found a clot, so still infected AND a clot. Saw her Dr. yesterday, and they have to make a plan.

Not great news for sure. I sure hope they can take care of that without a lot of risk and trouble. Keeping the good vibes going from here.

Thanks guys, nothing more frustrating than a recovery with complications! Hoping it stays less than serious ; we can deal with a pain in the ass, er, wherever.
