Haven't compiled all of the pictures yet; here is a shot from our first evening here; the sun is still well up in the sky at 22:30.

Morning all! I went OCD and spent the last week+ learning more about OBD2 and ISO 4191 bus communication than I ever wanted to know so I could monitor my transmission temps on our upcoming furniture move. Finally got everything working on my iPad yesterday using Veepeak dongle and OBD fusion app then ported it all to an old iPhone 6 that I can stick in a cup holder.

    7049B501-FBDC-4F9C-AC8F-73BEDC050496.jpg

Now that it’s done I wonder why I made such an effort. It’s becoming more and more of a problem for me as I get older, I latch on to an idea and it consumes me to the exclusion of all else.

Those cold winter days and belly deep freezing your nutz off, calling it fun. I’d often reflect if the fish got its name from the angler?? (steelhead) lol

Lake too-high know it well! As well the holy waters mentioned above. Tight lines!!

Franklin makes a decent pump in all stainless steel, available at Grainger. Adding a check valve at the pump discharge will help prolong it's life.
With that much clay, replacing the pressure switch is a good idea too.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! Well, watering last night coaxed 0.01" of an early morning shower! Supposed to be HIGH chances all week long, but it remains to see what WE actually get - there being a giant dixie cup that normally covers us. May have to mow again today if I want to get it in. Last time was Wednesday, so it actually is starting to need it. That chore is a maybe, today....

I know what you mean with the gauges. One day, leaving Discount Tire, some tech said he knocked the OBD plug wonky, and all of the sudden, my head unit is displaying a bunch of gauges, but no stereo! He fixed the plug, but I fixated on "where did that come from" for weeks! Finally found a buried menu that had two displays, and I could choose the gauge! And for all that, there was one gauge I even cared about. But it does show tire pressures real nice!

Outstanding!! You’ve covered everything except “Time Elapsed Since Last Car Wash”.

I recognize a lot of the attributes you’re sampling from standard SAE PIDs. I could add a few to my dashboard but I don’t know what half of them mean so I’m capturing what I consider key to not destroying my truck. Might see if I can add a misfire check. Unfortunately for us 1st gen owners Toyota went proprietary for a few things like ABS and AT. Not that there’s anything wrong with that as along as the tech fixing your truck has a proprietary reader or some knucklehead spends a week figuring out how to find and decode the proprietary features.

    Lol,
Yep installed a tune to my truck a while back during its beta stages, wanted to keep a eye on things ( or OCD… lol) Having a camper in the bed, was hunting for as much low end torque and hp in this V6. Don’t want to send you down the rabbit hole but if you want to jump in.. hehe
There’s a hack version of Toyota’s software (TechStream) in the tuning threads to full access in the danger zone…

It's a McDonald submersible, model# 2145054416, mfg. by A.Y. McDonald Mfg. Co., Dubuque, Iowa. I bought it from a plumbing supplier in Springfield OH. The owner has retired, and the shop is no more.

Not from Reykjavik, however, the day I rented a car and drove the "Golden Circle Route", we swung a bit north and west of the capital and could see the plume. My wife and I wanted to do the fairly technical and steep 14 kilometer round trip hike to the lava flows, but the couple we were with are a bit older than us and not up for such an arduous trek. :(

    Evening all:

Thanks, probably will be making a trip tomorrow to pick up everything needed. My neighbor is pretty knowledgeable on wells, and the place we are going to for supplies has a good reputation, knowledgeable people working there, and sells quality stuff, will see what we end up with! Wish I could just replace it with the exact same pump that was in there, but I don't think they are made anymore.

Just saw this, with the water shortage in California they are installing these water restrictors on high water consumption residences in certain areas to lower water use. Looks like something that isn't too great if that little hole is all that allows the water to flow through it.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! Only rain yesterday was during my mowing. Enough to make it miserable, not enough to do much good. Rest of the day went just as well. Except for the Ribeye - that went well!
