I did, but I wimped out on taking the Caterham. I posted up some pics over on the Car Porn thread.

Someone asked for a picture of the Caterham. I don't have a lot of them to be honest. Here's one.

Saw this at a C & C several weeks ago. I know the lowrider paint esthetic doesn't work for everyone...but the level of craftsmanship on this...
It's not a wrap, it's paint...and the guy had never painted a car before!!!

    Afternoon all:

:( Was sitting on a powerline yesterday that is pretty grown up with low brush, except for the access trail that runs down it, more or less just watching to see if anything crossed it. Saw a deer cross about 400 yds down from me around 8:15, then around 8:30 here comes a buck heading almost straight at me at about 30 yds, he spotted me and there he goes back into the thick laurel on the edge of the powerline, then I saw another set of horns going the opposite direction, so apparently there was 2 buck together.
Go figure, never expected deer to come out right in front of me and you can't see them until they are almost on top of you. :annoyed:

Looks great Mark! Meanwhile we are still chugging along with our backyard project.

Nice pics Ken. Dinner looked delicious.

Worked in the backyard yesterday morning and went out to dinner and music in the afternoon. Music was a no show.
Today is rototilling. Off to HD at 08:00 this morning to rent an industrial rototiller. There is still an acceptable amount of crushed stone imbedded in the soil.

Yesterday with the retaining wall rebuilt and the electrical box relocated.

Morning all! Little sad this morning. Baseball season ended here in Tampa yesterday with the most nerve wracking game I’ve ever seen. Shame my Rays came out on the short end of an historic 15 inning nail-biter. Hopefully the Bucs fair better against the Falcons today. I always thought the Bucs should have drafted Mariota instead of Winston, so I’m looking forward to seeing the kid do well but lose.
On another note, I picked up a Husqvarna 2000 psi electric pressure washer at Costco last week and cleaned my badly neglected pool deck and screen cage Thursday and Friday afternoons. Looks a ton better but I need to hit the deck again then sand and seal the pavers. I gave up on my 20-something year old Craftsman power washer last year after it blew the pump seals. It really didn’t owe me anything and I just have to adjust to having a lot less power with the little electric washer. For $150 the Husqvarna is a keeper, it sure is easy and takes up a fraction of the garage space. I thought to myself “I bet I don’t get 20+ years out of it like the Craftsman” and then realized I would be in my mid-80’s if I did and I just can’t picture myself pressure washing anything at that age.

I picked up a Stanley electric pressure washer last year and was surprised how much I like it...and one less gas engine to maintain. I find myself using it far more often on little things I wouldn't have bothered firing up my gas unit to do. It's great for vehicle washing with my foam cannon.

Yeah I went to a cheap harbor freight electric pressure washer, really surprised how well this thing works for $80. On my second year with it and it's still works great. If it craps out I'd throw it away and buy another one.

While I was wandering around Lowes yesterday I picked up a 12” surface cleaner. I read that some of the fittings on the Husqvarna are proprietary and was concerned that the quick disconnect for the nozzles might be a one-off but I figured I would try anyway. It sorta worked, once I got the cleaner attached I had to pry the slip collar back with screwdrivers to get it off. I checked the diameter of the disconnect against one of the nozzles that came with the washers and they were an exact match. The problem was the male end of the disconnect fitting didn’t extend far enough out of the plastic arm of the cleaner so the quick disconnect couldn’t slide on far enough to give the collar enough free play. In a stroke of genius I heated a deep well socket with a propane torch and gently pressed if over the fitting. It melted enough plastic that quick disconnect slides on and off without any problems.

    Great weekend.

I made it out to work the Rip Roar'n Ride that supports Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Still working on knee recovery, so no 65 mile ride this year.

Surprised my wife didn't have a heart attack during the Alabama Game. Nothing like the Aggies recovering fumbles to score! Way too close.

"The Last Kingdom" - I stayed up too late to watch the last three episodes after the game. Netflix series based on Bernard Cornwell's Saxon Stories.
One of my favorite quotes from the show "Where are the Welsh Women" "We had to kill them. They fought too hard." The family hails from Wales; my namesake
captured fighting alongside the Scots in 1650.
