The neighborhood was already gone. Welcome!

Mark: TY for sharing the video. I hope this leads to bigger thongs for your GD.

    Back at you Mark.

Heading to the beach today. Well maybe not the beach but a few miles away. I can bet my wife has a meal location planned with a view of the WaWa. We might be going to a winery tonight to listen to music.

A special Thanks for those who served our Great Nation. Its Veterans Day, don't forget to thank a Vet for doing what most won't.

Now, just to clarify, I didn't serve. Saigon fell the year I graduated from High School, and let's be honest. Nam left a bad taste in everybody's mouth. I was your typical 18 year old 70's know it all. But looking back, I wish that my attitude would have been different, and served at least one hitch of duty, but I didn't.
Our returning Vets were mistreated for years, but Thankfully these days, I think things are better.

I’m sure there are some vets in this thread. I am not one myself, but my father and uncles served. Thank you for your service! It can’t be said enough.

Seems like a good day to share some (pictures of) photos I found stashed in the garage a while back. They aren't great, but that's my Dad, and his Mom & Dad. I don't know where taken, but 1945. Probably before he shipped out to Italy.

And this was my dad. Born in the mountains of North Carolina. Dropped out of school and joined the Army and was part of the Big Red One occupying force in Germany after WW II. Left the army and went to work in the mills in NC. I don’t know for sure but I heard he was at loggerheads with my grandfather and reenlisted. This pic was taken between his tours in Korea and Vietnam. Mom told me that Vietnam changed him, that it wasn’t the same man that came home that went. All I know is he was the smartest, strongest and toughest man I’ve ever know and I’ll never be half the man he was.94EC0F54-A9BD-4F17-8E4F-785491C358ED.jpg

Beautiful day in Odessa FL. 68 degrees, not a cloud in the sky and not crazy humid. Have a little more cleanup to do a after TS Nicole and it’s a good day to do it. Got a Covid booster yesterday evening and maybe some yard work will fix the pain in my shoulder, I swear the pharmacy tech injected the vaccine into the bone. My wife got a booster too and she is so sore she couldn’t sleep.
