@johneman the comment about the movie Soylent Green reminded me of the line: "Soylent Green is people", but then a fantastic Twilight Zone episode "To Serve Man" with the line "it's a cookbook."

Vacation day….five? I’ve already lost count. Calls from work started this morning, nice to know I’m missed. Yesterday was miserable, never got above 55 and rained all day. Stayed inside, made soup and helped my wife with decorating Christmas tree #1. Much nicer today, 74 and sunny. Wednesday we head up to our apartment in Ocala and decorate Christmas tree #2. I replaced the rear u-joint in the Tacoma this morning, the needle bearings were worn flat in one of the end caps so it was time. That baby was fused to the yoke too, it took a bunch of PB Blaster and me beating on the end caps with an impact socket and 4 lb sledge to get it to budge.

The alien with the big head was Lurch from Adams Family. I think he was also Jaws from the 007 movie.

 

You are correct on both accounts [turns out I'm wrong about this]. There is an interesting short video on YT about that.
This episode was one of my favorites. I need to rewatch them. Very high-quality writing. The fact that they are in B/W allows the brain to focus on other aspects like dialog.

"Lurch" was played by the actor Ted Cassidy, "Jaws" was played by Richard Keil. Not the same actor.

 

Yes, thanks for the correction. As you mention, Keil was the actor in the TZ episode, and Jaws in the two James Bond films "The Spy who Loved Me" and "Moonraker".

 

So now I'm really confused. Which one played Bigfoot, and who was Sasquatch?

 

I read of a request somewhere, I don't know where, to post an answer in some contest, "What was the most important thing you ever learned". I thought about that for some time, and came up with a few. I'm not sure that I've decided on a final answer, but I'm gonna try this one out for size:

There are two kinds of people in this world. Some folks whose lives are guided by the Golden Rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", and some others who fervently commit to the precept of "Do unto others before they can do unto you".

In my time, I've known many men of both kinds, and have learned the lesson that I much prefer the company of the former to the latter.

Good morning. Today is shoulder therapy day #2. Some more house cleaning and start the prep for Thanksgiving dinner. Sort of chilly this morning at 27 degrees.

LOL It is not cold till 10 below zero. Does not happen here too often. 25 below is damn cold, I never want to be in weather like that again.
