Persuasive and demeaning are two different things. Nothing wrong with trying to be persuasive. On the other hand, demeaning gets you nowhere, or at worst, your argument goes backward.

I agree with this. Water conducts heat real well, so temp shouldn't be a problem. Pressure is pressure. Pipe size changes can change flow rate and resulting pressures but that valve isn't (at least shouldn't be) flowing water so I wouldn't think pressure would be a problem.

A little something every chance we get.
It's in the side of the tank, not the top. So, probe (same length as original) is completely submerged. I think it's good as well, BUT, if I find one out and about, I probably will replace it.....

Now, do I put those fittings in my garage sale?

I love this. I don't hunt (but don't mind it a bit), but if I did - this would be me! All........day......long!

You've defined the words persuasive and demeaning out of context. The nature of politics is to demean the opposing side. A politician who addresses my special interest presents a persuasive argument. At worst? Arguments get physical.

Not pretending to know more than the average bear, only saying that the installation is not configured as designed, and may not function as intended. If I were to take a wild guess, I'd say the nipple shrouding the probe may impart its own influence on temperature of the probe. I'm sure we agree that it won't matter much, except for the quality of sleep one can enjoy in that house.

Other than that, this forum is what you might expect from a bunch of old(ish) folks. It takes the place of the neighborhood barbershop (I’m nearly bald so I don’t frequent the place anymore) where you can sit around catch up on gossip, rant, brag, show and tell folks what you’re up to, and generally shoot the breeze.

I hate to say this but that deer is more than likely a deer that was raised from young/fawn to adulthood by humans. Unfortunately that girl will likely have a sad ending. They don’t learn how to survive in the wilderness, they don’t learn to fear humans and predators. I’m a hunter but I feel sad and sorry for that animal. Wild animals raised by humans seldom can be successfully returned to the wild. Animal rehabers can be successful in raising and returning an animal to the wild but the average person doesn’t have a clue. I may be wrong about that deer but that type of behavior, the lack of fear of humans is typical of wild animals raised by people with good caring intentions, but they are ignorant and misguided.

Not at all. I’d think it to be a good temporary setup till you locate the intended valve for the tank. Key word temporary.

    Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!!

Did someone say Yuengling? My go-to beer - we live about an hour and a half from the original brewery. They entered into a contract with somone (Coors?) to produce beer for them that would allow distribution into the western states - not sure where that stands.

Took the trailer to Lowe's yesterday to pick up a load of materials for the contractor doing the bathroom re-do on the farm - first time driving it in the rain. It was solid - love that thing.

Off to donate blood today - Power Red, baby!!

Good morning. Tried, and failed, to stop the hot water heater from leaking from the pressure relief valve. I think I put air in the bladder but still could not measure the bladder pressure. Next step is to replace the expansion tank. Looks like an easy enough job. The good news is the house water pressure is 90 PSI.

Does anyone have a decent way of getting rid of crickets in a furnace room? I put down a sticky trap a day ago but so far, no residents in the trap.

    My thoughts as well.
But, she survived the Fall of that year.
In that particular area, we haven't heard of someone raising her, which was totally possible.
This area is predominantly surrounded by large Amish farms and a tame deer wouldn't cut it for very long in that scenario.
Just a strange day for me.
Adding to the strangeness of the day, I saw a Mallard land on a tree branch. Things you don't see everyday. :der:

    Morning all:

Cool pic. of the close encounter with the deer Bucktails.
My one buddy has a feeder out and has managed to get some of the visitors to come to him and be petted, no one else will get near them though. I have seen several articles where people have "TAME" bucks that turn on them and attack them when they go into rut.
The guy that feeds the bears told me that he has bear looking over his shoulder as he's putting the cookies out , no me!
I had mentioned this in another post, I saw a guy I know close his hand around a wasp that was on the window, he then opened his hand, and the wasp was just crawling around on his hand and never stung him. I don't know how that works but I would bet that if I did that I would be stung!
