Good morning all! No snow yet in my part of Pennsyltucky and I'm OK with that. Rode the bike to work this morning, 41 degrees out, didn't even turn on the heated gear.

Bill: Get better quickly. I hate it when my back acts up.

Good morning. We had a great weekend with my sister down at the beach. Friday, we went to a brewery then out to dinner with my sister followed by a walk-through Christmas light display. The display on Saturday night had so many activities and there was no cost to enter. There was even a free concert, and the croup was better than good. Saturday morning started off with a Farmers Market in Ocean Pines, MD with my sister. I found garlic and other veggies there along with a couple of stocking stuffers. Next was lunch at a brewery in Rehoboth Beach, DC followed by shopping in the town. Then on to the Christmas village. From there we went to a watering hole in Fenwick Island DE, Harpoon Hannah's, for appetizers and a few drinks. We left there and went to the Tiki bar, Tiki Tims, in Berlin, MD where we stayed till closing time. I had a glass of Sangria at lunch but no more alcohol or sugar drinks after that.

Sunday, we went back home with a few stops, first was at a casino where my wife and son did a 20 minute or $20 challenge. I had not been to a casino in decades and still have no desire to go back. Casinos have made it all too easy to take your money. Next was a trip to a local winery to pick up a bottle of wine, the son and wife had a glass of wine. I found out that wineries are having a difficult time purchasing bottles. Next stop was for lunch at a brewery in Cambridge, MD then on to home. Lots of music, lights and breweries this weekend.

Today I am smoking a brisket for dinner.

This snow crap is infectious - "Winter Storm Warnings" for the mountains that surround Tucson. Makes a nice backdrop for the Saguaros and palm trees I suppose........

    Morning all:

:( Sorry to hear that Bill, we have a hitch haul that we load them onto, much easier than trying to get them onto the bed of a truck.
I have backed up to humps/banks and drug them off of them and right onto the bed if possible, I recall two instances where I did that.

A little something every chance we get.
:rain::notsure: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! No snow for us, just grey, some wet, and dreary. Got some errands, and a GFCI to fix on the fence - lost in the storm somehow. Nothing exciting at all.

I was thinking I might join this thread but now it's too late. The 60's are in the rear view mirror(again).
According to my retirement financial planner, I should have died five years ago.

It always cracks me up when people use a financial planner when they have more wealth than the "expert" by managing their own money.

It's a 60+ thread, for some of us the 60's are also in the rear view mirror, just fill up the cooler and join us on the porch.
BTW: I should have croaked about 15 years ago according to statistics!

Very true "IF" you can manage your own money! Some people get windfalls through inheritances or lottery winnings and have no clue about how to manage those assets if they don't blow it in short order!

It does make it a lot easier, and you may find other uses for it.

Off to cut up the deer, might just get hamburger made this time even though I will miss the deer sausage that I usually get, both are good! :hungry:

It's hard work and frugality. Starting off, moonlighting two jobs, the wife doing menial jobs to help the cause, food banks a few times, finance companies twice. Now, we can't give it away fast enough. The kids never learned those lessons. What's the point? Can't take it with you, too busted up to enjoy it now. At least, we don't have to look at prices to decide what we want, but small satisfaction.
