:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/n00bs/financial wizards. I was the person who just tossed it all in a S&P 500 fund, never paid a lot more attention than that. These days I am actually using a couple of advisors (and paying their fees!), checking their progress vs. the S&P 500. They're both ahead of it so far (after fees!!), which this year basically means they haven't gone down as far! Spend it while ya got it people; life is short.

Today I went to see the guy I bought the Caterham from. He is divesting some of his other treasures, and I took advantage. Came home with some intersting bits, now all I have to do is figure out how to use them. Dry sump system, some wheels that might be older than dirt... fun stuff. It was up towards your way @Devious6 , Saylorsburg. The guy lives right on the lake.
Honestly I think I'd drive it as is, maybe throw the occasional spare change towards it, of course that means whatever is left after the normal maintenances on an old Ferrari like that one. In my case that would be, let's see, nothing! I think I'll stick to my 4- and barely-5-figure toys for a little while longer.

My brother rolled a green one on a hairpin turn by realizing he was going too fast and going straight into the weeds. Hit the curb size dirt berm and went airborne. And it wasn't his car...
He spent a lot of time fixing that car.
His little brother learned something about driving other people's cars that day... as well as something about loaning machinery.

I used to wrench at a dealership back when those were still new cars. They understeered like crazy. Not surprised he went straight instead of turning!

    Evening all:

 at least you had a dog to retrieve them! We used to hunt a small swamp where the water was shallow and the mud was at least 2' deep, it was a real struggle just to retrieve the ducks in that mud and the sweat was flowing freely! Polypropylene is the way to go, absolutely my go to underwear and I don't miss the old cotton stuff at all, once those cotton thermals got wet with sweat, they didn't dry out and I froze!
It was worth the effort at the time, we shot a lot of ducks in that mud hole and there was no one else there, mostly mallards. some wood ducks, and the occasional teal. We ended up losing it after the original owner sold the property, I don't think I would still hunt it if I could, like you, getting too darn old!
Hope the back pain subsides, the dog is probably thinking what the heck is wrong with him, I had fun and feel great, when are we going to go again!

Saylorsburg is not too far from me and have been through there many times. There is a big flea market just South of there that I used to frequent (Blue Ridge), not so much anymore, and we go through there when we fish the Delaware River. The swamp I just mentioned in my reply to Sprig is only a couple miles from there, pretty sure the ducks were flying in from Saylors Lake because they always came from that direction.

I gre up just a little south of there - used to go to the Blue Ridge Drive-in that was just off the exit - there's a flea market there, now. Actually have been driving by there a lot lately driving down to help an aunt and uncle.

I’ve had the same finial planner for 30 years, he has been critical to attaining my financial success. I did not benefit from a financial windfall, it has been a long term, steady strategy and not knee jerk reaction to market swings.

I also went to that drive in before they turned it into the flea market. I used to find a lot of hunting and fishing goodies at the flea market, but they sort of dried up, that's why I rarely go there anymore.

I just saw a pistol that you might "NEED" :), it shoots the .50 BMG cartridge  and may be just a prototype.
It does not look like something that's fun to shoot, the recoil appears to be quite harsh!

    Good Morning Folks :hattip:

Hi Susan . How are you doing?

Not a Florida "snowbird" but heading South to the Caibbean for the winter . We found it to be a little more expensive than Florida but much warmer in January and Feruary :D. We rent a place and for the two of us it is just great. The warmth is a great pain relief for the joints and the beer at my favorite beach bar is cold. Life is good.

Have a great day all and the folks with back issues take care of it and be safe.

Ken: Hope you back pain goes away quickly.

Good morning. Today is a music lesson day and a cooking day. Going to make a chicken stock for chicken soup tomorrow. I have some left over pulled pork, so I am making baked beans using up a cup of dried Navy Beans I have in the pantry. Alos have pork steaks in a liquid brine and going to put them on the smoker today for dinner. Should be a busy day.
