Good morning and I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Wolfing down a breakfast sandwich and trying to get on the road by 8am today. Heading into the snow but the turnpikes look clear. We have never made this trip to Michigan on the 26th of December so I do not know what the traffic will be like. We come home on the 31st and I know the traffic will be light with hardly any trucks. If you are tracling this week have a safe journey.

Have a good time in Michigan Tom but most importantly, be safe driving there and :fingerscrossed: you get there safe.

Thanks for clearing the porch Jim. Don't want anyone slipping and breaking a hip :annoyed: lol.
    Be safe out there

Hope everyone had a warn and safe Christmas. We get above o° this week -12 now maybe 2 or 3 later today, its going to be welcomed after 5 or days with negative highs. About 18" inches of snow on the ground. Going to start looking to see if I can get someone to take some snow off the roof, at least clear the sewer and roof vents along with the valley. Kinda sucks having a torn rotator cuff and not being able to do it myself. Especially when the going rate is over a 100 hr.

Later today I have to fill out work comp paperwork asking if I can or have done anything in the last 12 months that some one could be paid to do, including intellectually:annoyed::deadhorse: I guess some pervert figured he needs power trip fix. My only question is since they pay porn actors if they need to know if I have a sex life. I just want to get my surgery in February when I'm cleared by my cardiologist because of previous heart surgery. I start ssi a 5 days. I had a ladder collapsed at a part time job that spilled me in October.

Did everyone get to grin at the weeny sports announcer in Iowa that got assigned to blizzard duty? I've got a duffle full of winter work clothes that got a lot of blizzard duty - and we were bending wrenches and thawing air tools as we went.............. Hope that mic isn't too heavy........I've got a "nephew-in-law" driving a state plow in Wyoming, he'd just like a day off.........they are about 100 drivers short.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! I hope everyone had a merry Christmas, and it looks like it. We enjoyed ours, and it even warmed up to the upper 50's for smoking outside.
Enjoyed having our son over for Eve and Day, but he didn't enjoy getting back to the apartment. Found no water again - hot water spewing from the apartment below (person home, and would not answer door!). No answers from 24/7 maintenance, told him to call 311 for lack of a better idea. He got a case number! As of this morning, still spewing, and still no water for him. Hot water just got fixed Thursday, after more than a week out. Again. Be SO glad when he gets to move in two weeks.
Be safe driving Tom @95SLE , and 300* for the bird saved me time, but it wasn't as popular! Next time, I'll stick around 250-275*, and take more time. If they had predicted the warm up a little more accurately, I'd have done it slower anyway. No worry, it will all be eaten!

Who is the CFO of the porch Mike. We'll have to see if funds are available to replace it :notsure:.

i don’t think a official CFO was voted on. In fact, I don’t think we ever have voted on anything.
Everything just got done. We don’t need a cfo,, we have a donation box. LOL.

    Christmas was ok.
    Glad it’s over.

We’re all CFO’S - crotchety f*cking oldsters. And it’s too much work to vote on anything while kicking back on the porch. Could someone hand me another beer, Yuengling please.

You too? I can’t count the switch plates I’ve broken by turning a screw just a little bit more to make them line up.
