    I feel vindicated.

There's been times in the Food Talk thread when someone would post a pic of a beautiful dish they'd cooked...and I'd see misaligned screws on a switch plate above the kitchen counter and nearly have a stroke.

I deal with 2 ocd people. I love to watch them squirm when I punch their buttons. They can’t resist.
    Funny as all hell.
What’s even funnier is they will see it and walk away cause I know they are coming back to fix it and I fix it before they come back..

Im the guy that pushes in and aligns the chairs in the local Chinese take out place and adjusts the pictures on the walls at the doctors office. I don’t think it’s OCD I just like neat and orderly.

@Oldie2007 That’s a better method than my “tighten until it breaks then back off a quarter-turn”

You guys crack me up!
Tempted to take a pic of my most misaligned screws switch plate and post, but in the spirit of Christmas shall spare you… :D

Santa was nice and I got a Wolverine MovieMaker Pro to convert a bunch of old 8mm & Super8 reels to digital. I’ve only tested one reel and it was good but a little grainy when played on a large monitor, so will test with adjusted settings next. I had one reel done professionally so have that benchmark for comparison. Having it done professionally wasn’t cheap so I got this instead for the 50-75 reels I have.

I don't do stuff like that, but starting back when watching Cowboys & Indians, I had to count all the horseback riders in every scene. Had to count all the shots fired from sixguns, and kept track of all the bad guys that got shot. Now with modern movies, I wait for the cops to holler a perp's name from halfway down the block, then I marvel at how all 9 of the bad guys with assault weapons get shot by just two cops with handguns!

    Evening all:

Well, finally something went right !
My hunting buddy called and asked if I would be home and that he would bring me some Christmas cookies, I'LL BE HOME :cookiemonster:!
He then started telling me that he was having trouble with his flintlock going off and wondered if it could be the touch hole causing it. I told him to bring it along and that I might have one or two new ones laying around. He takes the barrel out of the stock and removed the touch hole, then we find out that the ones I have do not fit, different threads. He then goes to put the barrel back in the stock and can't find the wedge pin that holds it in place, we looked everywhere, and he checked all his pockets multiple times, no wedge pin! :annoyed:

 it's got to be here somewhere, so I started poking into the corners of his pockets, AH HA, found a hole in those corners of 2 different pockets, then I started looking at any place that it could be hiding in inside folded/pleated areas of the Army jacket and there it was in one of those folds. I'm sure we have all experienced something similar, and if he would have left without finding it, it could have fallen out anywhere and be gone forever, or just stayed there hidden forever. He said that his wife needs to sew those pockets with the holes in them, yup, me thinks that's a good idea! :)
Things like that can drive you :goingcrazy: until you find what you are looking for!!!!!

    Morning all.

Read an article online this morning that stated that some people w/electric vehicles are parking at the charge stations and unplugging the car next to them and plugging in their own car!

I would never have thought of that. I guess it's on the same scope of stealing/siphoning gas.

All I can say is wow!!

Morning all! Should hit 60 today so the end of the cold snap is in sight. We’re heading home this afternoon and I’m dreading dealing with the damage the freeze did there. I’m sure the banana trees have turned to slime the next to go are usually the big split leaf philodendrons. Going to have to clean all that up and take down the Christmas decorations before I can start on any truck projects. I plan to replace the shifter bushings, try out some LED headlight bulbs and add an oil catch can.

Up in the north country it has been an old motel room practice to provide a means of plugging in a block heater - dunno if I would be so kind about charging an EV! If I had my service truck heater plugged in and then found my outlet had been usurped (or tripped) by an EV - they might be looking for a tire pump too ........

Being a grumpy old man seems to come naturally to me, my dad and grandpa were grumpy too....

:pccoffee: Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Run the cardboard to the recycle center with Rex, switch the pool back to automatic, and football for me.

Son came down for a load of :washing: yesterday, shower, and some munchies. Got word water was back on in his building, and got home to find bonus HOT water! We'll see if they can keep it on for a week!

Stealing electricity - siphoning gas. Same people, different day.

Yeah, we'll have some mush. Already told the wife that is NEXT week. Football>mush.
