FYI if you want to close your fuse cover,get yourself another blade fuse holder and put two male ends on it and then just fold it back towards the center of the box.

 

Um, that has me baffled. I do have pigtail adapters, but I'd rather just have him send me a correct one. That's why I bought it instead of building it.

 

Oh I know. Just didn’t know how far out that would be..

 

It's just a 1 amp diode that creates a .6-.7V drop in the ALT S fuse circuit (where alt senses the voltage). The drop fools the system into that much more volts to properly charge the AGM. I could have bought a 100 pack of diodes and fiddled with some dual fuse adapters I have, but for all that - $22 and already made into a puck made more sense. And I keep the fuse in place too.
Now, if he will just replace it.

 

Evening all:
Did a minor maintenance on the Tacoma this afternoon, replaced the cabin air filter. The old filter was pretty cruddy when I removed it, it was time for it to be replaced, and the good news is this time I didn't find a big mouse nest on top of it!

 

How often do you replace it?

 

I do mine twice a year - but it's not 6 months. It's right after Cedar season, and in the early winter before~! I don't get enough leaves and crap to do more. Most of the time, they look like they are perfect. And I use a felt marker to date them for any dealer that likes to investigate!

 

He's making me a replacement. Mine was not built wrong. Little Big Red is "special"!

Nothing I own ever sees a dealer once it's mine, if I can help it. Recalls are the only reason I'll be seen in a dealer shop.

it's when they are only a little slower, then the next guy is a little slower, and you move to the right lane because you are slow, and go HEY!

 

It does seem like if the public thinks the worst of cops it becomes a self fulfilling prophesy. One of those, "What goes around, comes around." kind of things.

 

I do know there are some bad cops out there, but it's the guys who video when they are stopped and they just argue and keep arguing and causing trouble. IMHO answer the officer's question, show your license and sign your ticket (if that's why you were stopped) and be on your way. If it's not a legitimate stop, then comply and fight it in court later

Had that happen to me a few years back. The smell was pretty bad. My son says he can still smell it. Myself, not so much.

Good morning. Only have a music lesson today. I continue to work on the garden bench. Today is sanding with 220 grit sandpaper, wipe down with a tack cloth and maybe the first coat of a stain waterproofing solution.
