I do not want to leave I drive utility cart every day Tacoma once a week farm truck 1-2 times a month. I guess I'm safe on banned subjects because I like showing pictures and talking about what is going on here Not much bannable content here. hahahahahh One warning I do think funny stuff cannot help it I laugh at everything

Hard to comprehend that you could get on a plane to the Caribbean and in six hours have a 150° temp swing. 150? That doesn't even seem possible.

Nope in the Caribbean for the winter. Wife has thyroid issues and meds make her always cold. Even down here, she wears a light jacket or sweater at night. I personally would prefer being home, but "Happy wife, Happy life" rule applies here.

    Wouldn't think of it...

A month ago, I underwent a bone marrow biopsy, to nail down the exact cause of a marker that showed up in a blood test. A few days ago, I received a call from the Dr who did the procedure, who informed me that the test was positive for a rare type of lymphoma, one which is slow growing. At my age of 82, a slow growing cancer is not particularly troubling. A date was set for next Friday from a specialist who will provide answers to my questions. I've been reading up on info from the internet, which isn't all that helpful given that this thing is rare, but what does stand out is a list of possible symptoms, 4 of which I have had for some time with no explanation till now. These are debilitating symptoms, and constitute my concern rather than any fear of dying. I am ready for that, but not ready for my list of symptoms to further expand, robbing me of my remaining quality of life. It has only been a few days since I got the news, but already the different scenarios are becoming apparent, and I know that I must make some decisions. I would welcome an objective discussion, to be kept within limits excluding religious or legal considerations, and expressions of pity. I ask and request that moderators keep an eye peeled to keep it real, should it become necessary. Thank you.

If you decide to do this, set up a pm with others to do it. Then you would not have to worry about a trigger word.

Wow Glad you made it through that, becoming a living chew toy for that dog is something I would never like. You did say that you thought you were in better shape than you were. When my wife broke her shoulder in O'Hara we just got on our connection to Erie and went to the ER there. And she wasn't in that much pain either considering the damage. We made it the 4 nights we were in Erie and the plane ride home for a 3 day wait for replacement.

I didn't realize you guys got those brutal wind-chills in Maine I thought it was only us northern mid westerners. I remember my coldest ambient temperature ever was -50 no wind and to sit on the car seat outside was like sitting on a rock. The car started like it was plugged in all night, but it took a bit for the transmission fluid to flow to move.

Really can't like this Alan. Like Mike said, set up a PM with others. That way it won't set off a trigger word with the mods.
Just remember Alan we are here for you....

Regarding being a living chew toy, I'm going to be laughing about that all day, thanks for the visual. :)

Well gee... where do you want to begin? I don't have much fear of the inevitable either, seeing it as the next great adventure. Dad had prostate cancer, which was slow moving too, and he didn't die from it.

Must not have been because the hospital ER gave her a initial hydrocodone and sent us on our way with instructions to take Tylenol and Advil alternating every 3-4 hrs for pain. She got some hydrocodone after surgery for total reverse shoulder replacement. I think they should have that x-ray on the door of the ER stating unless you are worse than this don't expect any opiate pain meds. She walked in got a sling and walked out no crying no whimpering just a thanks for helping her out and the speedy care.

I'm in West Fargo, ND/ Medora is probably the best place in north Dakota to go to both the north and south units of the national park are amazing. I retired from wholesale and supply of doors and windows 40 plus year's the last 10 or so was on the service side replacing broken glass and hardware on windows and fixing and replacing defective hardware and door panels both commercially and residential. Sometimes I would get to do R&R of whole units of our guys couldn't read a tape measure. A lot of the times I would go out to tell the contractor it was an install issue and walk away. Workmanship has gone down to the point that most will blame the product first and cry that they wouldn't know who to fix it while looking at me. I once got to a new home that the customer was complaining about the front door because they had to kick it open and close it. They felt that wasn't the way it was to operate. The fucking framer installed it so bad you could see daylight over the top of the door. With having a 4'' torx #12 screw in the top hinge. The framer ask how I was going to fix it. I just laughed at him and said he was going to R&R it with the explanation of it's coming out on the brick opening and to stop expecting someone else to fix his problem unless he expects his neighbor to do his wife. I was so ready to leave. I seen so much poor workmanship in new homes lately I would not buy anything new unless I knew the contractor and had the opportunity to do my own inspection at every step.
