:rain: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Well, it's not raining, but it did overnight (0.32"), and is supposed to late this afternoon. Heart Dr. check in today, so it's a day off from the yard. Stupid belt came at 4:30, so no mowing. I decided to try that dethatcher tool out back, because it really didn't need to be cut. That was an adventure, and it's highest setting still pulled A LOT off. I filled 4 45 gallon trash bags. It's not as damaged as it looked. I will get to the front when things dry out.

Didn't quite save me @95SLE Tom. I was pretty proud of my prep - I have a good general spice rub, and added some brown sugar, cleaned the fat and scored the center cut. Called for 225* on the smoker. Didn't matter. Smoker would not smoke. I think one of the switches has carboned up, and I didn't have time to make a jumper set up, so into the oven. Predicted cook time didn't get past 111*, so we raised it up and hurried too much. Crap.

    Evening all:
Well that didn't take long, looks like they found Murdaugh guilty. I didn't think that the prosecution had enough "proof" for all 12 jurors to convict him, thought there would be for sure at least 1 holdout and that it would end up with a hung jury.
A lot going on with that family: a girl died in a boating accident caused by his drunken son Paul, hit and run death of a "friend" of his son Buster , his housekeeper died at the estate after an "accident", his wife and son Paul killed at the estate, he hired a hitman to shoot him, opioid addiction, and fraud.

Have you ever watched Ozark on Netflix? Ya gotta wonder what all was really going on. And the jurist that was dismissed at the last minute? There's gotta be an upcoming movie in this.

And will he get out on appeal? Or will there be a suicide? What a soap opera...

And I'm saying all this and I haven't even been paying attention. I usually switch channels to see if there's other news.

OMG and it's about all that's been on since the verdict was announced.... then the reporters "jurors not paying as much attention at the end", "did they only vote that way to get it over with so they could go home", etc...... Didn't even pay attention to the trial, but can't miss the aftereffects due to the news....

Never watched Ozark, probably an appeal and was thinking the same about maybe an upcoming movie and a possible suicide!

 Sue, I think when he constantly denied being at the kennel around the time of the murders, and it was then proven that he was, probably was the biggest part that helped sink his ship!

Evening Carl. That and he admitted to lying about certain things.... if you lie about those, are you lying about everything? How do we know when you are telling the truth?

My usual day off is Wednesday due to music lesson. Regular cardio has helped me out a lot. Better circulation, some weight loss, and helping to keep my daily blood glucose level down.

Happy Friday to everyone. Get all your running around done today, the weekend is upon us.

    Morning Porch Folks.
Didn't watch or read anything about the trial, no interest in it. It is sad all the people connected to the family that died before his wife and son were murdered. Will we ever know the whole truth or will Hollywood make a series about the family like Ozark.

    Have a good day folks

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! But first! Made for TV movie! :notsure: Well, survived the first March storm just fine I suppose. Pool is a mess, and I did bring in the birdfeeder in when I saw it was sideways. One potted plant blew over during the overnight, but not during the storm - go figure. We did lose power briefly, but that knocks Spectrum into reboot longer than the actual outage. Took a shot of the windspeed when it was really kicking - 39 is the highest I have ever reported. I think my paint job inhibits high speed measurement, as it is supposedly capable of more. When I took that shot, I got a screen shot of the actual storm - not here yet. That wind was constant until the front actually passed, and we collected 1.05".

The wind was wild! 70 mph peak winds sucked open my attic hatch, I kept thinking about why it was so noisy in the house!

Need to figure out a better way of getting my new trailer into the garage. The driveway is 10' wide, and 200' long. Easiest to pull in forward, drop trailer, and flip trailer 180 (nose wheel makes that simple) but there is a slight rise and 1" lip so pushing it in is a two-person job. Front trailer hitch on the truck? Winch?

Mikes suggestion is excellent but my experience is that they really work well on level concrete, not so well on other surfaces. . I’ve used them on a couple different boat trailers over the years. Weights of various boat/trailers ranged from 2500 lbs to 3500+ lbs. On level hard surface they do the job excellently. I found on gravel they often spin the wheels and especially on gravel with the slightest of inclines. Also any kind of obstruction like the 1 inch lip mentioned may cause them to just spin the tires. Perhaps more weight on the tongue would help over come the problem, I don’t know. They are geared super low and thus have plenty of power.

    Build his own or,

HF has cheap winches like he mentioned. Easy to rig it to the back if his garage and add a hook to the back/center of the trailer. Get one with remote and use a replaced battery and go for it.

Please don’t use a ft hitch. Techs will not have any room to work on stuff.
    I suffered greatly..

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
How heavy trailer? I made a hitch for my garden tractor to move my trailer around the yard. As long as I don't get crazy with the tongue weight, I don't foresee a problem. John Deere garden tractor.
